Pretty cool. If it works well on humans, that'll be very interesting indeed.

Wow....that is fantastic. It really is amazing how we are made. Do you find it interesting that the body was made to repairitself? Now obviously not in radical things, but if you get a cut, skin grows over it. You break a bone, it mends itself and becomes stronger. And the brain of a human being. And a single strand of DNA...did you know one strand of natural DNA is the equivalent of 1 trillion CD's?

Oh good, something to nip that pesky low population problem we have...

    You're an idiot.

The brain which you, specifically, have in your dead is a myth.

Except how it's been proven to be a myth. The peak of our population will be 8.5-10 billion in 2055 and decline to ~8 billion in 2100. Just because certain cities or countries feel the need to keep packing people into tiny places doesn't mean they're overpopulated. There's plenty of land mass in china to fit billions and billions of more people. The world is able to produce way more food than we're able to consume. Even if our population would keep rising to 50 or 100 billion, the only thing we'd need to worry about is advancing our technology enough to keep up with our energy and food needs. So far we've been doing fine in that department. Land mass is not an issue.

As a reminder guys, please keep the rule about respecting others in your minds here. No need to call anyone an idiot because of their beliefs and ideals. You can have a debate without name-calling.

Except he didn't say this as his opinion or belief, he said it as a fact:

    Just saying. It's kinda annoying.

It's widely released information lol. I'm not saying they are facts since only time will tell, but all reports I've seen are showing at worst a steady decline of growth, and at best a peak in world population within 30 years and then dropping thereafter. Now if you want to try and discredit the US government and United Nations, I won't be opposed to that either.

And how this age-reversal compound would affect this would be interesting. It's been said that the longer people live and the better standard of living they have, the less desire they have to have an increased number of children. This could be the reason growth rate is slowing down. So while we'd all live longer (indefinitely?), fertility rates would also be dropping to where we'd maybe still see population declining.

I'm not going to argue semantics here. Annoying or not, that does not justify name calling. Period. End of story. There are other ways around it like perhaps asking for the source of his misinformation. Name calling will not win any debates here. It will win you infracrions though. Lets not let that happen, eh?

Of course. I wasn't even trying to justify name-calling.

The fact that population growth is declining does not prove your point
of over-population being a myth. Look at China, they have a 1-child
policy. That's ridiculous. What about India? They have a population
density of 390 pop./km². Australia is double the size of India and yet
India has a population five times that of Australia. The large populations
are polluting the fuck out of their atmosphere, check out China's smog.
Also, I'm sure as hell they consume a hell of a lot of resources constantly,
which definitely will not last forever. Over-population has a negative
effect on the environment and the people within it. It's real, so quit
trying to be the "cool, always against the grain, the hipster who claims
he is not a hipster" guy and stop being naive.

EDIT: educate yourself. Tired of your bs.

You mad bro? So you disagree with the UN and US government figures?

Just because you fell for the overpopulation fear mongering doesn't mean it's actually a real thing. If I try to fit 500 people into my house and they don't all fit, that doesn't mean the world is overpopulated. This planet is capable of holding over 100 billion humans. But let the fear flow, son.

And when you have a world full of oblivious morons, going against the grain is the only way you'll learn something, kid.

The figures you presented are of growth rate, not of population, therefore
making them quite the useless statistic when talking about over-population.
The population could one billion times what it is now and we could have a
negative growth rate but that still doesn't relate to the whether or not the
    world is over-populated.

I am not disagreeing with those GROWTH RATE figures, I am disagreeing with
you putting them forward as if they have any meaning in this dicussion.

And no, I am not mad, I just sick and tired of your ridiculous narrow-minded
arguments in which you throw facts out and claim they're super official and
    are written in the bible.

I challenge you to fit 500 people in your house, with the SAME income you're
running on now, the same everything, and get back to me when you've
happily fed and entertained each and every one of them.

I'm infinitely more logical than you, and as a result have to take everything in with an open mind. Calling someone narrow-minded because they know more than you and utilize it doesn't make sense.

Just because you think people are poor and you think there are 'lots' of people doesn't mean the world is overpopulated. Tell me why you think the world is overpopulated.

China having a 1 kid policy doesn't mean they're overpopulated. They have enough land mass to comfortably fit the entire world's population in their country. Because their government is immoral and controlling doesn't mean they're overpopulated.

India having 5x as many people as Australia is also not a very good argument. Again, there is way more than enough room to fit billions and billions of more people in India. Land mass isn't an issue with regard to overpopulation. So why do you think overpopulation is a thing we're experiencing now?

    The causes of overpopulation include:

    1. No longer enough room for humans.
    2. No longer enough food to sustain population.

So you think those things are approaching? Why?

LMAO at your first paragraph. I don't care if you know more than me, because
    lol at what you know.

China's one-child policy was put into place because they needed to stop the
population growth because it was becoming too great. It doesn't matter if there
is enough room to fit them all, they're all fucked if they can't all be fed, given
water, medically checked and shit like that. And don't give me "there is enough
food everywhere," or "the Earth is covered in water," because TELL THAT TO
    AFRICA and shit.

I am not saying that it is a problem right now, I am saying that is does exist
and may become a problem in the future.
