    World War Z - 4/5

Not very character heavy, but if I had to pick a big AAA blockbuster action movie, I'd pick this over stuff like Pacific Rim or Dark Knight Rises.

    Blue Caprice - 4.5/5

Dark. The sniping victim sequence was really well done.

    Paprika - 8/10

If Inception The Matrix and Studio Ghibli stuffage merged together, the resulting experience would be translated simply through this flick.

Peeping Tom (1960) - 4/5 -The British version of Psycho. Very creepy and well directed, especially for a film of that time.

An American Werewolf In London (1981) - I'll give it a very light 3/5 - Don't know how to feel about this one. It was funny/clever, had some decent gore and practical effects but plot-wise offered very little.

    Million Dollar Baby - 8/10

Much more than I had previously expected. Million Dollar Baby offers up a film that is as strong and tenacious as its protagonist.

    Escape From Tomorrow

I honestly have no idea what I'd rate this movie. It's a bizarre, perverted, seedy look at what can lie beneath the surface of anything that looks innocent. Very surreal. A ton of phallic symbols. The company that sponsors a lot of Disney attractions is called "Siemens" and boy they did not miss their opportunity to work that in to the motif. This is one of those movies that you should definitely see, even if you end up thinking it's shitty.

    Safety Not Guaranteed - 7.5/10

This is my second time watching it. I didn't quite feel the magic that I did the first time through. Good movie though.

    The Raid: Redemption - 9/10

Second time watching this also. Still the most hardcore movie I've seen. Such an impressive movie.

Dead Ringers (1988) - 3.5/5 - Pretty compelling psychological drama. Plot-wise it lost me at certain points but what really elevated the film was Jeremy Irons' portrayal of the twins.

The Way Way Back [2013]: 7/10
Nice coming-of-age film with a protagonist I can relate to.

    Moon [2009]: 7.5/10
    Sam Rockwell rocks.

    Prisoners [2013]: 9/10
Spectacular. Jaw-dropping performances by Jackman and Gyllenhaal. Feels like a David Fincher film.

The Seventh Seal (1957) - I really don't know what rating to give this one. It's too symbolic and heady to really get much out of in the first watch. It's one of those films that people have to analyse and dig into the symbolism to truly appreciate it.

The Blair Witch Project (1999) – This film relies on nothing but what it is. When you go, "oh, now this'll happen", "oh, now that'll happen", you're wrong. Therefore it makes for a very unpredictable experience. Some may say the film is "boring" and that "basically nothing happens" in it, but that's the point (it's a wee bit thing called "terror" (which has been distinguished by Stephen King from "horror" and "gross-out")). I did feel through parts of the film that I wasn't going to end up liking it very much, but the final scenes redeemed for that, where I felt my heartbeat gradually becoming faster and faster, until the very last scene, and continuing through the credits. 8/10

And I planned on getting a good night's sleep tonight...

    Side Effects (2013) - 6/10

The movie didn't get interesting until an hour into it, and even then it became just a big, rushed clusterfuck. It was nice to see women be scummy for a change. I've had a thing for Rooney Mara for a while. Catherine Zeta-Jones is still fine as well.

Gravity - 10/10 - Intense, funny, beautiful, massive, CGI-heavy, artistic, emotional, sad, happy, paradoxical and wonderful. A must-see.

Sexy Beast (2000) - 2.5/5 - Heard a lot of praise about this one so decided to check it out. It was just alright. Positive - had some pretty interesting visual elements, the direction was great and the performances from Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane and Ray Winston were pretty amazing. But that's all it was. It offered very little plot-wise and played it quite straight and that's where the film fell short for me.

    The Man From Nowhere (2010) - 8.5/10

One of my favorite foreign films. I haven't seen it in a couple years, like with most my favorite foreign films, so I'm rewatching some again. This was better than I remember even. Just a great summer blockbuster that delivers.

Slightly off topic, but I love this film to bits, and last week (well Saturday) I went to a theme park near me (Thorpe Park) for Halloween, and they have live action horror mazes, and this year they got a deal with Lionsgate and all the mazes (except one) are based off films and they had a BWP one.

Needless to say, just like the second movie, it was extremely dissapointing, which is weird considering how awesome all the other mazes were. Maybe because it was outside, idk.

Anyway, i'm just about to watch The Raid, looking foward to it and everyone on here seems to like it :D.

    I Saw The Devil (2010) - 8/10

Epically tragic and brutal. I remember the first time I watched it I felt even worse throughout the whole thing. A very unpleasant watch.
