Holy crap d00d. That's a lot of HM. You should've set up your monitor screens to display the digital versions too.
I'm still waiting on the deluxe edition and a vinyl that I ordered ... back in June. :/ Apparently, they've both been shipped but there's no way for me to track them
I got my deluxe edition today and I just finished my first listen-through. My favourite song on the album at this point is "Various Methods Of Escape".
I keep coming back to this album. Like, I'll listen to some of Arctic Monkeys' album and I'm digging it, but I get this urge to start up Hesitation Marks again. Shit, it happens when I try to listen to other NIN albums currently. I was jammin' TDS in the car the other day and suddenly went, "Oooh, let's listen to HM instead."
There was a lot of people from an Eminem forum I'm on that were on Pukkelpop, and a few of them are NIN fans aswell. They all kinda bashed the performance, saying it was really bad. I don't know why. But yeah, his audience was filled with Eminem stans trying to get the front row.
Based on what little I've seen on YouTube, NIN haven't had much success with festival audiences. It's a bummer, really, 'cause they're a solid live act and they worked hard to put together a great festival show :/ but, ultimately, every band that plays a festival runs the risk of getting a crowd that just isn't there to see them.
And if you're playing before Eminem's first show in years... Anyway, the second half of this album is much better than I thought it was, listened again today. Various Methods of Escape is really growing on me, and so is In Two.
Ha. Wouldn't that be something? Every thread that I've seen made on a music forum for Linkin Park turns out pretty negative.
Four live tracks from Lollapalooza are up on Spotify, labeled as the "Live 2013 EP". http://open.spotify.com/album/6gXdOfZRD9q3bMh5HPQquG
Oops. I got 3 out of 4, so like a "C+"? Passing. I'm okay with that. I love the updated version of Sanctified. The others sound pretty cool too.
In case you didn't see it and/or don't frequent theninhotline or echoingthesound: http://www.reflectinginthechrome.com/shows/2013/201306xxrehearsals.html Also they have a ridiculous amount of bootlegs and stream captures. Go wild.
The link is to the rehearsals for the festival. That version of Sanctified is the best you'll get without audience noise so far.
