Maybe the writers didn't fuss about forcing the film into a box.

I haven't seen the film, just objective view.

What I meant was that it didn't feel right as a movie. Some scenes didnt feel like they fit together in one movie. For example, one scene is a slow but intense walk through a house while the next a sudden car chase/shoot out.

Of course I'm no movie critic. This could be one of the greatest films of all time and I'll be there twiddling my thumbs while it's playing.

Most crime/mysteries are thrillers I think. The bathtub scene was really out of place. Everything else seemed pretty legit.

They Live (1988) - 4/5 - Enjoyed it quite a bit. Very unique and somewhat thought provoking story. You don't see stories like that these days anymore. I thought the music could've been better. Also, it took a bit of time to get going.

Pacific Rim - Man, I did not care about this movie at all! I was bored, annoyed, angry but not entertained. The fights were cool but every fight was at night during heavy rain or at the bottom of the ocean so you couldn't see that the hell was going on. And every time Charlie Hunnam opens his mouth, he sounds like the worst actor in the world.
I'm pretty sure that some people will love this movie, but this ain't my kind of art.

Felt the same way. Was an incredibly satisfying movie.

    Jarhead - A lot funnier/different than I had expected. 8/10

Hunger Games (2nd time) - This is NOT a kids movie. Pretty brutal in parts. I enjoy the storyline. 8.5/10

Traffic - Kinda disjointed in parts. I may have to re-watch again some day, as I saw it over two days. Well-acted though. 7.5/10

    Trance - 2.5 out of 5

There's a promising story that finally decides to stop confusing the fuck out of you and make sense during the last 12 minutes. Besides that, it's just artsy and it's film style sets it apart from the norm.

Fast & Furious 6 - Action, cars, shooting, everyone survives (except the pretty girl, obviously). 6/10

Trance (2013) - 3/5 - I dug the concept and all but overall the movie felt very bloated, plot-wise. But full-on naked Rosario Dawson earns the film some major points haha.

Had to happen to fall in line with Tokyo Drift, sadly.

Pacific Rim - 7.5/10 - This was the first movie I had high and low expectations: I initially thought it would be a dumb action Voltes V vs Godzilla movie, but then I had high hopes for Guillermo Del Toro. After watching it, I was pretty satisfied with it. The action scenes are dizzying but brought out my inner 12 year old self. It's visually gorgeous. Idris Elba practically steals every scene he appears in - which is a lot.

Epic (2013) - Loved it. Laughed my ass off at those snails, plus the animation was incredible. 9/10

Oh I'm familiar with the 'but her face' thing but the fact that you were referring to her went over my head. And no, I think she's highly tapable from top to bottom. Butterface doesn't apply!

    Shaun of the Dead. 9/10.

It was great, funny as shit, actually quite dark at times but.. as much as I love zombies, Hot Fuzz just does it for me. Hot Fuzz is a straight ten imo.

NOW TIME FOR THE WORLD'S END MOTHERFUCKERS.

    Despicable Me - 3/5
Very funny but it made absolutely no sense.
