Yesterday Chester sat down with RX 93.1 hosts Andre Co and Jinri Park for a live phone interview for their Living Things World Tour concert in Mall of Asia Arena, Manila Philippines on August 13, 2013. The interview took place on the RX 93.1 Monster Radio Drive Thru show and lasts for 25 minutes with Chester touching on the Philippines, touring, family life, Stone Temple Pilots, Transformers 4 and everything else Linkin Park. Check out the audio below or a quick summary from LPA member Philsfan. * The Philippines reminds him of California, because it has both Hispanic and American influences. * He talked about family life and how he makes time for both family and music. * He talked about his encounter with a fan who admires him and sounds like him. * He listed down his favorite STP songs. * He talked about how his live collab with Chris Cornell back in 2008 came to be. * He still loves "Papercut" and "Breaking the Habit" * The primary difference between Chester 2004 and Chester 2013 is his bleach blond hair. * He's not sure when the next album is out, but they did say that they hoped they'll continue to make albums faster. And tour lesser. ** Because of that, they have no idea what will be the setlist of the Asia tour. * The band won't say no if they will be asked to contribute a song to Transformers 4. * Chester talked about his favorite Transformers toys. * He once again talked about how Linkin Park came to be. I can't wait to listen to this. After the last interview we heard, I've come to like interviews with Chester.
Jinri Park is fangirling so hard. It's awesome. Nice to hear someone genuinely enthusiastic to talk to Chester.
Oh crap I should've said "He talked about how his live collab with Chris Cornell back in 2007 came to be." Whoops. And can you correct the posts that sound sarcastic? I don't want to be rude or anything.
You have my permission to use this in response to anyone who can't move past "Old Linkin Park". [audio=artists=&titles=Hybrid Theory is my life]http://www.lpassociation.com/upload/audio/062213-101342_HybridTheoryIsMyLife.mp3[/audio]
Papercut has the be one of the best LP songs, its so deep, dark, emotional, full of epicness. It never gets old, too bad it didnt become a bigger song like OST or ITE Papercut is a very underrated song imo.
Wow, great interview!! Btw, they did Hunger Strike back in 2008, not 2007. Anyways, I cannot wait to see LP play this Summer. I think the shows will be awesome, regardless if they change up the set or not. He did say some new songs, so I think maybe Powerless or I'll Be Gone could finally debut, but either way is fine for me.
Did he say towards the end of the interview that the band would play some new music at the show? Or was he just referring to "Living Things" songs that haven't had their live debut yet?
I love when Chester talks about how much better he is cause I'm also recovered and I relate to his music so much
every 18 months so start of next year yeah, yeah, huh, yeah why not? omg chester mentioned my LPA profile name XD
Hahaha Mike already confirmed that they have no plans for Transformers 4 as stated by this forum, So that means a whole new chapter for the new Transformers trilogy without LP.. that would be awkward to know but that's the recent news.. I think they will use the original theme that was used from the 1986 movie.. http://www.nolanfans.com/forums/vie...id=65e99dbbd8a400b66ae91eae5a951a62&start=180
