If Linkin Park haven't matured during the past sixteen years, I don't know who has.

Anyway, whatever I posted previously in this thread, mr. Hybrid's theory is the best: believe in the band and don't expect anything.

Mike posted a photo on instagram about brad having a tattoo and ripping solos in the studio... that means they're working already for the new album?? or it is just for the mall soundtrack??

I love to see Brad will contribute again on guitars works and arrangements, and Phi to contribute more string elements on the record....

heading back into the more hip hop oriented territory.

Anything that harkens back to their 'And One' outro, 'High Voltage', 'Dedicated', 'Slow Ya Roll', 'Rock n Roll (could NEver Hip Hop Like This)' tracks with a twist as per usual with the band.

Songs like Debris, but with more singing.

Less angsty stuff, less angsty lyrics..

I DO NOT want it to be like LT, that sound got really quickly, really boring... I love it as an album though.. but I don't really want a repeat of it.

Just take out the angst. Scream about something else.

Yeah, different lyrics would be cool. I remember Mike said around the time Living Things was getting released that the songs would focus on relationships and human emotions. Human emotions are cool to write about it, but I'm not a fan of when bands only write lyrics about hating their ex-girlfriend. Haha. Not that LP does that, but I could do without the angst.

They should make songs about barber shops and fat stacks of cash.

I'd like a more easy listening album this time around, Living Things was a little too heavy for me at times.

I don't think that's what he meant - not heavy as in hard, but heavy as in heavy to listen to.

I want LP to make one last heavy album to silence the haters and because they're more than capable of delivering something incredible and unheard of. And no I do NOT mean NU-METALZ/HEVY GUITARZ/SPIKED RED HAIR/BACK TO DER ROOTZ. More than enough people have expressed on this forum the idea of an industrial/symphonic/melodic/progressive direction that the band could find inspiration from all while surprising us with structures akin to Blackout and The Catalyst. It could truly be their magnum opus.

As long as the album has reached the band's ultimate potential, I will die forever a satisfied fan.

I wouldn't say one whole album of heavy, but maybe like 3-4 songs on an album of some super heavy LP stuff. That would be cool.

Too much to take in, I think. "I'd like a more easy listening album", he said. It's like light and heavy food.

I think they should do a heavy metal album(and I don't mean Nu metal like their first two).
