It's pretty old, older than the original Dragon Ball manga even (the manga was 1978-1987, the anime was 1981-1986). I'm about 3/4 of the way through now - 195 episodes, 1 special, 6 movies, and I think 10 or 12 OVAs. I wrote my final blog review on this series. I am in love.

Finished Kokoro Connect, now I'm sad because it's over. I technically still have 4 eps left to watch but they weren't part of the original airing, so I'll have to look 'em up somewhere I guess.

One Piece. Well the anime for the English Dub (yes I like dubs), was fucking shocking cause they took half of it out. But its been redone by a new animation team and the DVD of the first series is coming out in May, and it looks really good, just incase anyone here reads/watches it.

I'm going to get it for sure.

As far as I'm aware, a majority One Piece is on Hulu, for free, dubbed and subbed, as well as other free and complete anime like Trigun, FLCL, Claymore, Death Note and more.

Well, at least the last time I checked One Piece was up to current, for free.

It's the old dub (which is why people want the new one, because it sucks) and it's not avaliable in my country. :(

    ^ Subbed then! :p

Anyway, I've started Tamako Market and Soul Eater. The former is addicting but I'm still on the fence about the latter.

Any word on when the first two Madoka movies will be released on Blu-ray?

Also, does anyone know if Garden of Words will get a screening in the US alongside its May premier in Japan, even if only one night?

I know, i've seen many subbed episodes, but imma wait it out for the dub because it's like basically a reebot of the anime, not just new voices, and it's so much better imo.

I'd really like to start Tamako Market as well. Soul Eater's all right. I liked it, though I never actually finished it...

Saw that a while ago, pretty cool stuff.

    Steins freaking Gate.

I started it three days ago, and spent all of yesterday finishing it up. I watched about 19 episodes of anime yesterday. I just could not stop myself.

I'm currently playing the visual novel, and rewatching it but in English. Not sure if I like the sub or the dub more.

Now here's something I've been trying to sort out in my head:

    SPOILER ALERT

So the alpha world line, in which SERN takes over and Mayuri dies, is made possible by the first D-mail, in which Okabe writes to Daru that Kurisu got stabbed at the lecture, effectively preventing it from taking place.

The beta world line, in which Kurisu dies and WW III takes place, is made possible by Okarin seeing Kurisu apparently or actually murdered, and her father getting away with the time machine research.

How does Kurisu living change either world line to the Steins Gate world line, if in either case, Okarin will still always send a text to Daru about the apparent or actual murder, and unknowingly and unintentionally sending the first D-mail?

What I'm getting from this is that the b-a split occurs on SERN intercepting the first d-mail - the d-mail that prevented Kurisu's death - but also made SERN aware of Okabe's activities. But then how does that d-mail not result in its intended effect of preventing Kurisu's death? I get that it's the time machine that cancels Nakabachi's lecture after the d-mail is sent and this is what saves her life, but how does Kurisu "dying" in the main timeline prevent that d-mail from causing the alternative chain of events to occur? It just seems to me that whether Okabe fools his past self or not, his sending the text that causes alpha world events to occur is inevitable.

This wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff is giving me a headache.

Maybe the Steins Gate world line is just a personal goal where he wants all of his friends alive.
