Relaxin, and really enjoyin ATS. I didn't know I would come around this much on the album. Its quickly becoming one of my favorites, and I don't mind the change in sound as much as I used to. That's all. Just thought I'd leave this here. On "Blackout" now :)

Why can't LP be as good as ATS in the rest of their albums? It still confuses me why they took such a big step back with LT

That's your own view. I think LT refocused the band more than anything.

Actually, LT is my second-favourite LP album but still, it was a HUGE step-back compared to ATS. The first half of LT is just horribble compared to the second half. Even if In My Remains is my favourite LP song EVER, still, fuck this "radiofriendlyshortenergeticfirecrackingsongs" bullshit. It just limited them in experimenting. Damn, I don't want them to make ATS Part 2, but I want them to make so much experiments what they've done in the ATS-era. "No matter how it sounds, if we like it, then it's Linkin Park".

Why are you both always bitching about other records when ATS is discussed?

I mean, it's fine you like ATS better, but seriously.... I prefer HT to LT or ATS, but I'm sure you would find it very annoying if I always went "Why can't LP make something as good as HT anymore!!!?".

At this point, it's almost the same as the youtube comments who goes "Meteora forrr life! Shame LP went shit after that."

As LP didn't want to make Meteora again, they didn't want to make ATS again, and you can't change it.

No matter what LP did after ATS, it was going to be compared to ATS. Like the "Nu-Metal" fans had to during LP's direction shift, the ATS purists need to do what the song Iridecent instructs and "Let it go."

I'm with you on this :)

Btw, I probably need to listen to ATS again. It's been a while. Blackout and Catalyst are kickass.

Thanks! I am growing tired of the "if it's not from ATS, it's garbage" mentality. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the album but I know there is more to the band than that.

If this site even tries to get into some Linkin Park discussion, someone is going to start arguing. It's just never going to work.

I'm not sure this band will ever top ATS. I was listening to it last night and was almost going to make a thread similar to this because it deserves the utmost appreciation from fans. I really hope the band goes back to an ATS-like mentality with their next album. Songs like The Catalyst, When They Come for Me, and Blackout are songs that only Linkin Park can make. I would love to hear more!

I listen to the whole album from time to time, it's refreshing sometimes. It's not played all the time with me, though. BITS I still play a lot because lately I have been relating to the lyrics..
