What is the longest song you've ever listened to? And I mean real song, not like the 24 hour nyan cat song. Mine would be The Seer by Swans. It clocks up a total of 32 minutes and 16 seconds.
Yeah was ok, and of course it got repetitive in parts but overall it was alright. My favourite long song though is Rime Of The Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden which is just 13 minutes long
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, and it never gets boring. Octavarium by Dream Theater is 12 or something, and it's awesome.
Can we count Godspeed You Black Emperor albums as "one song"? If not, the track 'Providence' of their clocks in at about a half hour, and I've listened to that in its entirety several times over.
If its what I liked, then this takes the cake ^ The longest track I've listened all the way through (albeit only once) is Delìrium Còrdia by Fantômas. Clocks in at 74:17.
"Echoes" from Meddle. Because Pink Floyd has made singular songs that go on for 25 minutes. "Shine On" is two songs. Also, "Echoes" is the greatest song of all time, and Meddle is the best Pink Floyd album IMO.
The longest single song I've heard and can think of now is: Nero - Symphony 2808 No its not a composition.
I know some opera tracks last for a very long time, but I'm not really a fan lol So yeah, mine is Pink Floyd - Dogs, which last 17:04. (I'm not counting Shine On You Crazy Diamonds since it's cut in 2 parts). Second is a dark jazz track, "Nightwolf" by the band Sunset Mission, which goes to 16:31.
