American Idiot is a great album. Jesus of Suburbia is the band's best song ever IMO, BUT 21st Century Breakdown's got Peacemaker what is GD's most "unique" song ever. It's like When They Come From Me or The Catalyst for LP. I still think that 21stCB is like ATS for LP because of the variation of the style of the songs. Yeah, there are songs that I hate like Restless Heart Syndrome, Murder City or Before The Lobotomy but it's still a good album to me.

Seems like a lot of my favourite bands are insisting on disappointing me this year.

It's not even the sound of the song specifically that bothers me (although, admittedly, I couldn't even get through the entire song). It's their approach to music. I'm all for bands being ambitious and trying new things, but you also have to recognize your limitations. They keep trying to go bigger and bigger with each project, and all that does is make their glaring flaws stick out like empathy on a Republican. Billie Joe, especially, seems to be buying into his own hype and suddenly thinks he's the voice of a generation. His lyrics in particular have gotten considerably worse because of that.

I'm still eager to hear the new albums, but I'm not expecting great things. Hope I'm wrong.

Sounds a lot like the press pieces in advance of ATS.

With that said, I have no idea what they're exactly trying to accomplish by releasing a trilogy.

The lyrics of ''Kill The DJ'' are horrible...

''Someone kill the DJ, shoot the fucking DJ
    Shoot that fucker down."

You're looking at the wrong place to critique lyrics for a song like this. All the chorus has to do is establish one statement, which it does. The meat and the potatoes are in the verses.

This song sounds the best out of the concert footage I've seen. Almost sounds like indie:

I'm starting to get the feeling that this will be a three album long version of Shenanigans. But I love Shenanigans, so who knows?

"Fuck Time" has to be one of the most blantant and straight to the point song titles I've ever seen.

It sounds like the band wants it to be a single  I don't know how that would work on the radio...like half the song would be bleeped out

I'm a teen and I just don't need that bullshit. Lyrics is sucks. Better then Meteora's lyrics but it's bad.
It isn't that good as everybody says. There some very great songs in it but, it's not their best IMO.

Actually, being a teen when Dookie was released does a hell of a lot more for understanding the impact of the record than not even being alive.

But yeah, saying Dookie's lyrics suck while on a Linkin Park site is pretty damn entertaining.
