Sorry if this has been asked already btw I know Living Things just recently came out and all, but I'm already wondering what they'd do on their next album, and like what new sound they'll come up with. I'd like to see what kind of album they'd make if they didn't use all these extra instruments that they use for the electronica sound, and just kept it simple with drums, bass, guitar, and sampling from Joe. Not asking for a Hybrid Theory sound or anything Like a Hybrid Theory EP sound, mixed with Minutes to Midnight, and a little bit of Living Things. Odd combination, but I think it'd be pretty interesting... What do you all think?
This. LT was not shit, but it could have been much better. I hope they keep changing get even better. But they can't top ATS, in my opinion
Anything as long as it's music that only LP can make. I don't want to hear music from them that I can hear from other artists. Shadow of the Day, although I love the song is similar to many other songs from other artists. Take blackout, victimized or until it breaks and tell me who else can make songs like them. Until it breaks is a bass heavy rap song and then chester comes in with such soft and clean sounding vocals, it's something that really makes their songs special that few other artists do.
I don't care as long as it's divisive and forward-thinking. If they stopped caring about what Warner or the fanbase thinks, take their time with the production, and then release it without any big build-up, I'll be happy even if it turns out to be a complete disaster. Hell, I like bombs like Common's Electric Circus.
I want them to make stuff like The Catalyst, She Couldn't, When They Come For Me, Blackout, Victimized, Until It Breaks, Castle of Glass... Those songs are just geniuses.
I hope they'll make songs like in Minutes To Midnight or A Thousand Suns...I live these records and when they'd make a similar album....it would be amazing!
Mix Minutes To Midnight and A Thousand Suns, and a little bit of Living Things, and you have the perfect album... Explanation: I'd like electronic and rock stuff, it doesn't have to be a concept album. Leave the 2-3 minute songs, and make stuff as long as you want... Also, who says they can't mix electronic and rock in songs? Iridescent, the perfect example...
Folk Linkin Park has sounded dope so far so would be interested in them exploring that. Blues. A grunge-esque electronic blues Linkin Park sounds amazing. (Imagine Depeche Mode's 'Songs of Faith and Devotion' but with Linkin Park's flare) That would be the perfect album imo.
More folk music and piano driven songs. Maybe for the first time have an album with no screaming at all. I'd just like to see more meaningful and softer stuff
I want a metal EP, something with no electronics or rapping. Songs that when played live would need Brad, Mike and Chester all playing guitar at once. That would gain LP a lot of respect I think too. After that I want an album of softer piano driven songs. Beautiful ballads, folk inspired songs, Where'd You Go esque rap songs, and a few crazy experimental songs. Oh and no screaming on the album at all.
Dude, that would be sick! Like, if they took it a step further and an album was split into 4 sections! Section 1: Heavy As Fuck Section 2: Rap Perfection Section 3: Beautiful Ballads Section 4: Epic Experimentals
