I was shopping at a local record store and found "Linkin Park: Greatest hits" it looks too crappy to be official but has all the copyright shit from Warner and Machine Shop. Some of the copyright appears to be in Russian. View attachment 4683 View attachment 4684 View attachment 4685 View attachment 4686 What do you guys think? Anybody seen it before?
I don't think it's official. And, umm... Valentine's Day? No Roads Left? Nobody's Liestening? These are hits?
Clearly not official, but clearly worth the price anyway. I'd love a Russian, bootleg version of my favorite bands "greatest" hits.
Nope if it hasn't been announced by the band, it's not official. I've seen around here some DVD's like "Live in Tokyo" and another one I can't remember, but I won't buy them as they're not official. EDIT: Foreword?
I think after 12 years of commercial success we can expect an official Greatest Hits compilation soon-ish. This of course isn't one. If we ever have a Greatest Hits compilation, it will probably just be all the singles. The choices for this bootleg really are strange Greatest Hits albums are for people who only want to listen to the radio hits of an artist, and this one has No Roads Left, QWERTY, Step Up and In Between on it? What the hell? A Greatest Hits album would have In the End, Numb, Somewhere I Belong, Crawling, Shadow of the Day, What I've Done, New Divide... all the mainstream stuff.
Exactly, this tracklist seems like they put all the song names in a pot and drew each one randomly. GH albums are more directed to the casual listeners so they should include the "highlights" of the artist.
I guess what I was wondering was that maybe this was something Warner Bro. Russia had released it just in that country (of course I'm just assuming its russian. But as I do not read or speak Russian I can't be sure.) Edit: @andreina I totally agree, I would've gone with empty spaces
Looks like nearly every fucking LP song is on that CD lmao.. Wouldn't be surprised if [RIFF RAFF] or [STEF] was on it
Nah, but I love how "Foreword" is somehow a 'Greatest Hit'. besides, if LP were to ever release a GH album, it would involve probably a new song. That's how almost every 'Greatest Hits' album does it anyway.
You can say anything is copyrighted, even if it's not. Besides, if you're illegally bootlegging, I'm sure caring about official permission is the last thing on your mind .
