24 Days to go! (Japan release date!)

Japan is getting LIVING THINGS on 20th of June, so we will probably be able to listen to it at around this time either thanks to the internet.
Also I think, it should leak about 1 week before this date, letting only 17 days left. (This number is just my expectation)
But I truly hope it won't leak as LP put a lot of effort in it. Leaks always mean a lose in selling.
I am looking forward to Powerless, I'll be Gone and of course to the highly praised Victimized the most!

So,
This threat isn't basicly about anything - I just wanted to build up the hype!
But do you think, LT is going to leak?

 

I think everyone will hear the album by June 15th unfortunately :/ almost impossible to avoid nowadays.

I've ordered multiple copies already though so I don't and won't feel guilty when listening to a leak

 

We will get a leak sooner than we think.

Oh I think you must go wrong at this point... The earliest day of LIVING THINGS release dates is 22 June when it'll hit stores in Australia, New Zealand,...
IMO, leak version will come around 17-19 June (only 1 week before official release date in U.S). Go to the past, ATS only got to leak 1 week before US release... But, who knows )

 

I'm getting the feeling it'll leak a lot sooner than we all expect. They were pretty tight-lipped about ATS overall, but for Living Things it seems every major publisher and their dog has heard it by now. Somewhere along the line it'll leak.

Leaks don't necessarily damage album sales.

 

I have a friend who might be able to get me and copy before release date. I'm not good at waiting haha.

 

'' Leaks always mean a lose in selling '' ?. Actually, what i've heard and seen around on the internet, leaks brings up the sells a lot. That's what happen when Lil Wayne's '' The Carter 3 '' got leaked before it was actually set to be released, and it sold like insane. I don't think that leaks are a bad thing. Imo, i think it's a great thing cause it gets the people hyped up and ready to get the album once it get's released.

Now as you mentioned it, I think you both are right.

 

Leaks easily can help to incease the album-sells.
There's no deterministic connection that leaks of albums will lead to less album sales as there had been no leak.

But specific institutions in music buiz are trying to estabish such a "reality".

Personally, I think LT will leak around the 12-15ths of June, a little bit earlier than ATS.

 

If that happens I want to be around for it, otherwise I'll have to catch up with 40 pages of LIVING THINGS official thread by the time my copy arrives.

So, about 3 weeks until it get leaked ...

 

GUYS Even if it leaks, they are previewing the entire album on iTunes/MySpace (As far as I know.) a week before the release, a strategy planned so that leak will have a much softer effect, like streaming the whole ATS on myspace in 2010 before the album was out. We will hear the full album sometime in the next 2-3 weeks.

 

Even if it does leak I think I may hold out til the 22nd to listen to it (being an Aussie)
Although i'm sure it will be very tempting to have a listen beforehand

 

Yeah they are streaming on iTunes on the 19th June/ a few days before.

 

Where are you buying it from? I have yet to pre-order it as when I pre-ordered ATS from LP.com, it arrived a few days later than the actual release Lol. I wanna actually receive it on or before the actual Aus release.
