So because the previous Daft Punk thread was a bit on the old side, I made this thread. Everything Daft Punk related can be discussed here Anyways, I bought Homework, Discovery and Human After All last week. Pretty awesome! Although Human After All is really repetitive, I like it nonetheless. My favorite DP album has to be Discovery though. The album really takes you on a journey imo and I like the sound of that album. Homework is a very interesting album, quite different from the two other albums. I like it though! There was a rumor going around that the new album would be released in June 2012 but this rumor is false. Anyways, I honestly can't wait for the new album! Anyone else here looking forward to DP's next album? Do you think it will have a completely different sound or that it will sound like some of their previous work? Do you have any of the albums and if so, what're your thoughts about it? What's your favorite Daft Punk album/song? Discuss!
Their Tron: Legacy soundtrack is, for all intents and purposes, their new album, but they are working on a new-new album. I think it'll comprise all their previous sounds, which is sort of what they were going for with Human After All but failed miserably. I actually got into Daft Punk when I used to watch Cartoon Network's Toonami all the time and they would show their music videos.
Ahhh, I love Daft Punk, they are the gods of all electronic music. Discovery is awesome. And all those links don't work... DAFT PUNK <3
Yup, there's a new album in the makings! There was a rumor that the album was gonna drop in June 2012 but that was a false rumor. But like you can see in the interviews, they are working on something new. When it will be released is still unknown but I'm guessing late 2012-2013. I'm quite curious how it will sound though. I'm assuming they learned some things during the makings of the OST for Tron so maybe we'll get a narrative-like structure again like Discovery. That'd be awesome!
