One of the biggest German rock bands, Die Toten Hosen, referenced Linkin Park in one of their songs of their new album, called "Das ist der Moment". They sing "Linkin spielt im Park, und wir am Ring" which basically means "Linkin plays at the park, and we at the ring" - obviously a reference to Rock am Ring/Rock am Park 2012, which are headlined by Linkin Park, Die Toten Hosen and Metallica.

The line is getting ridiculed by the whole fanbase and multiple music critics, and I have to agree that it sounds kinda awkward, and also weird that they make this reference just because they play with Linkin Park for one festival

It also seems out of place that an established 30 year old band just makes a Linkin Park reference in one of their songs on their 30th anniversary album. The song itself is great though!

I think this is the first time LP are mentioned in the lyrics of another band. Also that shows how big LP really are in Germany

According to MTV Japan, Linkin Park are set to perform as part of the 2012 MTV VMA Japan on June 23, 2012. The MTV VMAJ will be held at Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba, Japan. This also happens to be Linkin Park’s first VMAJ performance!
