I figured this is a song that the community holds very different opinions on, it'd be interesting to post a topic to discuss and debate this song! I, personally, like the song. I'm a bit "err" on it though, not loving it, not hating it, just liking it. I find that the song works, and stands out on the record for being a unique piece from LP that sounds nothing like anything they've done before.
One of my favorite songs by Linkin Park. I've already had a lot of good times while listening to the song and it has special meaning to me.
I'm glad LP took the risk, i'd prefer if they just stopped caring about what fans think, then we would get the new Hybrid Theory.
What are you talking about dude. They made meteora because of presssure coming from the label and fans. MTM and ATS was them not necessarily caring anymore but not letting that influence them so much. And I'm pretty sure your the only one here who wants another hybrid theory
One of my LEAST favorite LP songs ever. The instrumental is pretty decent, especially the synth solo, but I don't like the vocals at all. I'm glad LP made this song though because it's not your typical LP sounding song and I appreciate them trying out different things. This song is just not for me, I just find it really boring.
I'm not asking for another Hybrid Theory, i'm saying LP should go back to the mindset they had while making Hybrid Theory, then the world can stop asking LP to go back to their old style, as it's not the style, but the effort behind it. Also: Punctuation, dude.
"Robot Boy" is the sound of LP mastering electronic rock. It's so awesomely layered they don't know how to play it live.
