The whole of TIW is amazing, and Closer to The Edge is (imo) the best song on the album, but thats just me being cliched.
The one thing i dislike about 30stm is they take even longer than LP to release music and they care more about "This is our ___th show" instead of making music
Hehehhe ^^ I just have LP to look forward too... Frank Turner released an album last summer.. Okay, I need more good music... HURRY THE FUCK UP 30STM!!! xD

You do realize Jared's an actor, right? He's got commitments in other places. But when he's working on new music, that's what he sticks with. He turned down a role to be in a movie with Clint Eastwood (I can't remember which movie) because he was working on This Is War.
yes I do know he is an actor, loved him in Fight Club (even though it was a small role). And i wasn't thinking about the actor aspect when i wrote that
For the record, in case anyone's interested, it's Flags of Our Fathers for which Jared turned down a role, after Eastwood approached him personally.
Will: It's true he's an actor (an amazing one IMO), but he's more or less put is acting career aside to focus more on 30STM. So right now him being an actor isn't really a reason they wouldn't make a new album for a while
Yep, they're one of my favorite bands! They're amazing. What I love about their music is how epic it is.
That's basically what I said. When he's working on music, he drops acting to focus on the music. Their writing process is very long and drawn out, because Jared travels all around the world to find inspiration and things like that. That's why it takes so long for them to release music. Although, I did discover a pattern slowly unfolding: Between 30 Seconds to Mars and A Beautiful Lie, it was three years; between A Beautiful Lie and This Is War, it was four years. Therefore, following this trend, their next album won't even come out for five years, in 2014.
I like them overall, but I just think their music sounds a little too clean. The production of a rock album shouldn't be that flawless IMO.
