It's exactly like getting Dave Campbell to do the strings on Meteora and MTM. So quit the bitching.

 

Sounds amazing, my one concern is whether or not they settled. I luv everything lps put out and i just dnt want this album to feel like they gave up trying out new and exciting sounds and just settled with what originally made them house hold names. Heres to it being a true mix of all there sounds and to it being there best album yet!!!!

 

Very Interesting Read. Nice thing, that Track Titles are being revealed alongside the additional inside into their work with Rick Rubin. can`t wait until Monday for Burn it Down and the Artwork!

 

The name itself wasn't meant to mean anything, Jornada Del Muerto (if I recall correctly) was an actual location where a bomb was tested or something like that, the name had no meaning besides supporting the whole atomic bomb and explosions theme.

Not liking the talk about metal...

but I love Arcade Fire and I'm definitely excited if anything sounds similar and it's very neat that Owen helped to lay down some strings.

Anyway, I'm 50/50 on this. I might end up hating it or loving it. I can only wait to see though. Since I've decided to be a pessimist about this all of this though, I'll predict the former.

Why? Why are people still complaining? Seriously. This album is a mixture of old and new, but people are still "I don't know I'm nervous. I don't know it feels like it's gonna be bad." And the people complaining about the collab... it's just strings. It's not a guy singing. Even if it was, so what? Plenty of amazing bands have had guest singers. It almost comes off as selfishness and distrust in the band when you complain about that. This band has one of the most amazing fanbases, but it's a completely unpredictable fanbase. Unstable. I don't care if I'm hated for saying all of this, but for fuck's sake just relax. If you've loved everything LP has done already, then this album will be no different. Just my opinion.

 

Because LP fans. That's why. I'd say more but then I'd be insulting them. Well, even more than I usually do.

It's just crazy. Other bands have a fanbase that love when a new album comes out. They're not worried about how it sounds, they're just excited for more music.

 

The difference is that with every album that LP puts out, thousands of people complain about how it doesn't sound like one of their other albums.
