    About the time theory: two reasons for you to change idea, Skarr.
    First: the number of different commands that terminal can execute is ONE, and no more...it is hardcoded, you cannot cheat or hack that terminal, it is actually projected to execute the ONLY autosolve command.
    Second: Mike said stl22 was close, which actually worked a lot on the numbers/letters idea.

    Surely we cannot know where this puzzle is bringing us, but that theory (fully respecting you bro :headbang:) sounds pretty weak to me...

    in response to your opinion, you say we won't be able to solve it until we've got 14/16 puzzles, but linkin park said we could find this easter egg when we were about 5 puzzles in.

    Haha, good points ;) I forgot that he said all that.

    I suppose it could go either way. If 5. 4. and 8. 4. are related we need to figure out how...

    Isn't 5.4 8. 4. some kind of musical notation? Like 5 measures of 4 and then 8 measures of 4 or something (I am totally not educated in this topic so if I am completely off base don't mind me)

    Yes of course, but they did not say we could solve it immediately. I'm just saying if it's an anagram, we need pretty much all of the letters to solve it, because that is the nature of anagrams and so far the "living..." thing makes no sense do it's likely to be an anagram.

    could this be important? :

    from wikipedia

    Anne Jordan (5 April 2000). "Christianity". Nelson Thornes. Retrieved 7 April 2012. "Easter eggs are used as a Christian symbol to represent the empty tomb. The outside of the egg looks dead but inside there is new life, which is going to break out. The Easter egg is a reminder that Jesus will rise from His tomb and bring new life. Orthodox Christians dye boiled eggs red to represent the blood of Christ shed for the sins of the world."

    the april 5 it's like 5.4 cipher thing

    No that doesn't make any sense at all. Is the idea of a musical notation related to this puzzle? Not a bad theory.

    I doubt it. I think we all know what Easter Eggs are in real life, in the digital word they just mean "hidden extra".
    If you google 5.4 you will get thousands of results that are just coincidences. :-/

    This may not be something, but I thought it over and I realized that "Time" is the 12th track on Inception? Aren't we on the 12th puzzle? Maybe it's a clue to look at times? Just a thought.

    Man, it can be absolutely nothing but. There's a chance. ONE FUCKING CHANCE.

    LOOK AT THIS CODES:
    Code:
    01. <!--5-3282 3265-->        50017        5-00:17
    02. <!--4-1602 1589-->        40013        4-00:13
    03. <!--3-1157 1132-->        30025        3-00:25
    04. <!--0-0000 0000-->        00000        0-00:00
    05. <!--7-0000 0000-->        70016        7-00:16
    06. <!--6-1752 1732-->        60020        6-00:20
    07. <!--5-3168 3156-->        50012        5-00:12
    08. <!---->
    09. <!--4-4682 4658-->        40024        4-00:24
    10. <!--3-9376 9365-->        30011        3-00:11
    11. <!---->
    12. <!--0-0000 0000-->        00000        0-00:00
    13. <!--7-2029 2008-->        70021        7-00:21
    14. <!---->
    15. <!--0-0000 0000-->        00000        0-00:00
    16. <!---->
    I will Simplify:
    Code:
    01. 50017
    02.  40013
    03.  30025
    04.  00000
    05.  70016
    06.  60020
    07.  50012
    08. <!---->
    09.  40024
    10.  30011
    11. <!---->
    12.  00000
    13.  70021
    14. <!---->
    15.  00000
    16. <!---->
    So, look at the 3rd row.

    Code:
    03 30025
    Change the double zeros to a period:
    Code:
    03 3.25
    Someone think that IT CAN BE A DATE?
    And all of the rows are like a timeline?
    More than that, if we think that the third row is the 2003 year, we got
    Code:
    3.25.2003
    . And what? The release date of Meteora.
    I don't know. Probably it doens't means nothing. But...

    like.. an puzzle withing a puzzle? for example we'll have at the end of this one a solution - "living things" and a small snippet. after that, we'll have to use this "living things" clue to solve the next puzzle, in order to get the next snippet. mike said "snippets" from the single, not just one snippet...
    just a thought..

    If we're looking at dates,then that means we're not getting ANYTHING in 2012. Look for yourself.

    okay, so i don't know much about coding unfortunately so maybe i'm completely wrong. but i have this idea i've been thinking about for a few hours now..

    i know it's been already said that we could use the terminal for one thing only. could it be possible that
    1. we can use it to solve the puzzle.
    this gives us the 5.4 number we are trying to figure out how to use, right?
    2. what if the provided numbers can be used in the terminal in the way that we write SUDO SOLVE() again, but the password this time is the 5.4 number of that puzzle piece..? or any form of those numbers? and it solves idk what and let us hear those said parts?

    maybe someone came up with this already but i can't remember everything i read on these amazing 273 pages :]
    so, sorry if it's nothing or absolutely wrong. i'm just trying..

    AFAIK the SUDO SOLVE() can only handle ONE number which is always the one that solves the current puzzle. So it wouldn't do anything else, right?

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not that familiar with web coding.

    Thanks, but for some reason, I believe they are using this movie as a reference. Like some others said. "A puzzle within a puzzle." Just thought I bring up that they are possibly using this movie as a reference. I truly believe that "Time" is a clue. I don't know why. If we look at times, we can get more answers if we look at the times. Why ELSE would they use "Military Time" and why are these puzzles TIMED?

    just like everything else that we've failed at. We need another clue. We should have been able to unlock a snippet on the fifth (?) puzzle piece when LP gave us a clue.
