Iam I have been since 2.0 (I think, either 2.0, or 3.0!) and I was lucky enough to have my name printed on the CD notes of the LPU11 disc too!
I was. Then my membership ran out and LPU got good all of a sudden. Not looking for a new membership until the tour kicks up and heads my way, but even then I am not sure as to if i shall be buying a membership, because I've got to have the money.
I joined when the 1+2 membership was available. I got the first two years rolled into one. The DVDA was included too! I have 2 of them and the gift one I never opened. I've been a member every year, just had to postpone renewing a few years because of financial obligations. I'm probably the only member of the LPU that got every single year's membership without being an official "LPU Lifer." It sucks, but oh well. Right now, my user name is LPA Hybrid.
I've been in since LPU 7. LPU X was the only year I sat out of because of the 60 dollar price tag, but I was able to rejoin once they got rid of the 10 dollar monthly tier, and added the 25 dollar annual tier. My current username is The Smooth Jay Sensei. You can thank And 1 One's roommate for that one.
This is true. I joined a month ago today. My username is "apop" if anyone cares enough to read my comment.
Member since LPU 9. I didn't join LPU 8 because the package didn't really appeal to me. LPUX was amazing as I got the chance to go to the London summit and meet the band, hear LOATR and The Messenger acoustic, watch the band at Soundcheck and I also won a special backstage tour with Mike Shinoda which was fucking incredible and pretty surreal (check out my videos on the LPA's Youtube channel!) It was so worth the $60 package for me. I also got questions answered by Mike and Joe in the LPU video chats which was cool. I'm currently a member of LPU11 too, I got the full package as soon as it was announced which is why I get a guaranteed Meet and Greet with the band next time I attend a show. Awesome!
I voted "yes," even though my membership is currently expired, I have been a member since LPU6 and am going to renew once tour plans are announced. The reason I didn't renew was out of disappointment at the LPU after last year. $60 was too much for me personally, because I knew for a fact that unless the LPU Summits were taking place within a couple hours of where I lived, I was not going to be able to attend because I was in school and the extra travel fees would probably have been a little much. And the Summits, to my knowledge, are essentially the reason for the LPUX price increase. So basically, LPUX raised the cost from $25 to $60 dollars, in order to pay for something you may not even be able to attend, and the CD was no longer free. Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in LPUX. (Of course, had I been able to make it to a Summit, the money would have been well spent. Luck of the draw I guess). However, I was extremely overjoyed at the compromise they came to this year, offering a $25 package and guaranteeing those who paid $60 meet and greet passes. One of the best LPU moves in years.
I've never been an LPU member. The CDs were the only thing that ever interested me, and I didn't think it was worth $25 just for that. They rarely played shows anywhere near me when I was a big enough fan to want to see them live, so meet and greets didn't mean anything to me. (I used to live outside of Pensacola, Florida. The closest they ever came to me was Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans. Age and circumstances kept me from seeing either of those shows.)
I paid 60 bucks for my membership, and my account on LPU says ''LPU Plus Pass''. Does this mean I'm guaranteed meet and greets this summer for Linkubus?
Yeah, as long as you got your membership before they announced the 25 dollar then you have a guaranteed meet and greet.
Hell yes. I got it the night LPU11 launched, I was one of the first people to renew. I'm pretty sure I'm good. I haven't been to a meet and greet since 2007!!! I never even knew this was a feature for LPU11!!!
