That's your opinion and it is as equally as valid as mine if I were to say

"People should hate it though, it's a horrible album, it really sucks. "

Note, I'm not trying to be an ass but I'm just pointing out that saying "People shouldn't hate it" is ridiculous. People dislike things. It's a fact.

I don't understand people who say Meteora is a copy of Hybrid Theory. Meteora is nu- metal but is no way a copy of Hybrid Theory, it's a different album with some different elements. IMO Meteora is the evolution of Hybrid Theory, did what Hybrid Theory did but better and on a whole new level

Meteora is more darker, deeper and uglier than HT but imo HT is better tho

So, if "ifs" & "buts" were candy and nuts... Meteora would have never existed?

And can someone tell me how sounding like Depeche Mode with rapping and power chords is considered "nu-metal"? or why SOAD and Deftones are put in the same category? As a lover of metal, Linkin Park is about as metal as Monopoly money

When i was younger i use to listen to HT and Meteora and thought it was fucking cool, i never understood what Mike or Chester were saying in the songs the sound was just cool to me
Now i'm older and of course we all go through shit in our life that we have no control over, i listen to HT and Meteora, and instead of saying its cool now, those 2 albums hit me in the face
and its some really deep shit. Like i said once people listen to what they can relate to and i can relate to Hybrid Theory and Meteora the most, but i still like m2m and a few songs from ats.
But to say that Meteora is terrible that alittle harsh, the band worked so hard on Meteora and and remember Chester got sick during that time so its a unfair to call it horrible or it sucks, just cause it sounds somewhat like Hybrid theory. I dont like ATS but im not gonna call it terrible it's an ok album it lacks energy. And i guess im just not a fan of electronic stuff

I still don't see how you can consider it one of the best albums ever.

It didn't break any boundaries, it didn't cause a revolution in the genre, it didn't let a mark or influence any bands in the long term.

It didn't receive any critical praise either, nor has aged well considering it came out only nine years ago.

I love the album, because I love everything LP has put out so far, but it's not one of the best albums ever, under any circumstance. And that's beyond opinion.

It's not beyond opinion. Everyone has different ideas of what they think is the best album ever, there is objectivity as to when it comes to what is the best (and I am not trying to start an argument as there was a 50 page thread on KTT, a forum I'm a part of where a bunch of people had this huge argument about it).

Hybrid Theory has a few songs that were "deep", but Meteora? Not at all. How is it unfair to say something sucks because Linkin Park worked so hard to write an album that could relate to ten year-olds because Don Gilmore and Warner wanted them to duplicate HT's success? You know what really sucks? To be Linkin Park, a bunch of dudes a few years shy of 30, being told to write an album that appeals to 5th graders that follows the same formula as their debut album., because if you don't do it, they won't promote you as much.

Funny enough, LP sued Warner right after and knew immediately not to work with Don Gilmore again

They lost a shitload too. I didn't meet anyone who actually liked the album until 2008
