Linkin Park Confirmed for Pinkpop Festival

    Linkin Park will be playing the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Netherlands on Sunday, May 27th 2012. Tickets go on sale March 3rd on http://www.ticketservice.nl/

    Linkin Park will be playing this festival alongside artists such as The Cure, Soundgarden, Kasabian, Mumford and Sons, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band and many more. Linkin Park last played at the Pinkpop festival in 2007. Check out the Official Pinkpop Festival 2012 Site for more information about this show.

    This is the 7th tour date that the band has confirmed so far. As of now, this is the list of confirmed dates:

    May 27th - Landgraaf, Netherlands (Pinkpop Festival 2012)
    May 30th - Skive, Denmark (Skive Festival 2012)
    June 1st - Nürburg, Germany (Rock am Ring 2012)
    June 3rd - Nuremberg, Germany (Rock im Park 2012)
    June 8th - Nickelsdorf, Austria (Nova Rock Festival 2012)
    June 10th - Moscow, Russia (Maxidrom Festival)
    June 14th - St. Petersburg, Russia

    Finally they're coming to The Netherlands again! :)
    I don't know if my parents will give me permission to go but I think I'm going anyways.

    I wish I can go but the idea of sneaking on an airplane makes me laugh!

    edit: I'm closer to Vegas, where Joe is suppose to DJ in some club 3 days before Pinkpop!

    edit (pt 2): Silly me! Hahn is going to DJ in March. My bad!!

    26th May - Rock in Rio, Lisbon Portugal. Just confirmed in the festival site :) I knew it


    Edit : Can someone tell me if I join the LPU now, if I still have a chance to get to the meet & greet?

    Yes, if you join the LPU and RSVP the show that you are attending then you have a chance to be selected for the meet & greet. The Lisbon show hasn't been confirmed by the band yet so I don't know for certain if a M&G will be taking place, although it does seem likely as there are M&Gs for most LP shows. It will probably be confirmed very soon!

    I'll be attending the festival for sure! Getting my ticket this saturday as soon as the ticketsales start (10 in the morning).

    It will be my fourth attendance to a live show and the second time at Pink Pop. 'Finally' The Netherlands again although it's practically abroad ( Landgraaf nearly touches the German border )...

    Totally freakin out already anyways! Pink Pop is where I saw them live for the first time and became an 'all the way' fan. Back then they also just launched a new album (MTM) which made my anticipation grow even more and now it might be timed like that again!

    It doesn't matter if you RSVP now or if you do it closer to the show because LPUHQ randomly choose people closer to the actual show date. Adam (he works for the LPU) said that there will be space for plenty of people to take part in the M&G, so the chances of you getting into a M&G depend on how many people actually RSVP for your selected show.

    Could you explain to me what RSVP stands for? :O
    I really want to go and I think if I tell my parents that I can meet LP they'll let me go. :)

    RSVP is the term used when you respond to an event to confirm whether you will be attending or not. In this case, RSVP means that you have to let LPU know that you are one of the members attending that show. They will only choose members who have confirmed that they are attending that specific show. All you have to do is get LPU membership, log on to the LPU site, go to Events and click the box near the show you are attending to confirm that you're going to the show. LPU will let you know a few days before the show whether you have been selected. I hope this helps you! :)

    Huh. I just looked up what it actually stands for, and apparently it's a French expression which says "Repondez, s'il vous plait" meaning "please reply." I learned something today! :awesome:

    A question for one of the LPU members around here: Since I'm not a LPU member to this date ( because of payment issues: no creditcard ) I would like to know from one of you guys if it's possible to RSVP for the Pink Pop Festival.

    I'm also asking this because on LP.com the Rock in Rio show anouncement has a seperate mentioning of the oppurtunity to RSVP and the Pink Pop anouncement hasn't ;)

    I checked the payment options for LPU once again and paypal is also an option now. If I can RSVP for this show I'll get myself a membership.
