In news that will shock and amaze and maybe even upset many of our readers, non-judgementally-sized singer singer Adele has announced that she's taking a five year break from her work, which currently seems to involve being at the top of all the charts. Doesn't sound that hard. Either way, it seems as if it's not the work that she's tired of, and in fact her little sabbatical is all about love. THE LOVE OF A GOOD MAN. Speaking to Vogue Magazine, Adele revealed the devastating announcement with charming aplomb: "I am fucking off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. "So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy. "And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch." So there you go. Not much you can do about that. Anyone like to place a bet as to how long she's actually away for? Wouldn't be any different than Linkin Park taking a 4 year break, although I have to admit it's kind of a big mistake for her to go into hiding when she's at the top of her game.
She has a great voice and it's sad to see her go but the music industry now is shit. She came and conquered mission accomplished. I mean you hear the new Katy Perry song ? No 1 on Itunes and it's just horrible. I mean are people trying anymore? No slab some autotune on that shit and it's a hit.

There's no such thing as rumor on the internet. The written word is considered motherfucking gospel around these here parts. At least, until proven wrong. Then throngs of the rabid internet community will leap into action and, as the kids would say, create unto the accused a new orifice in which fecal matter will be disposed.
BEST NEWS EVER! Fucking excited. I hate her music! I worked at a place for 1.5 years during .5 of which all we listened to was Adele's 21. FUCKING HORRIBLE, ANNOYING SHIT. She might be nice every once in a while, but I can't imagine anyone being a real fan of that. That Someone Like You song is like 5 minutes long, of the same lyrics over and OVER except her voice is getting closer and closer to busting a blood vessel as time drags onward. Word. I guess I should be more clear: If an album is really "great," then it is something you can come back to again and again and it always sound fresh. Adele is not like this. Her Lovesong cover is also ATROCIOUS. Worse than the 311 cover and that one was BAD.
I can't imagine anyone NOT being a fan of Adele, so there's that. There's also the post not 3 prior to yours stating that this was an unsubstantiated rumor and complete bullshit.
Which is why both "19" and "21" are still enjoyable to me a year after I've heard them. Just because you totally hate a CD doesn't mean someone else won't love it. To me her lovesong cover/both CDs are as far from ATROCIOUS as possible.
I just wish she wasn't so god damn overplayed on the radio here in the UK! She's talented YES, she's a good singer YES , but to have her constantly rammed down your throat the way she has been the past year or so is starting to grate on me a bit!
