    Exactly.

Why the FUCK would someone compare a band who only started out in the 90s to Pink Floyd?!

I am ashamed of this thread.

There are plenty of bands in the 90s who I'd compare to Floyd... It's more how little they've done for music and the quality of their output that is fairly one sided in this comparison.

    Incomparable.

While Pink Floyd are great in their own right, I don't particularly care for them. They have a few good songs, but other than that, I think they're over rated and never saw the big deal with them.

I respect Pink Floyd, but I tend to skip songs on their albums. They're just not for me.

Yeah I always skip the intro to Time when I'm blazed. Those clocks are so goddamn annoying.

You have to realize that PF was around even before some of the guys here was born. It's just not their cup of tea.

Hey, someone compared ATS to Radiohead's Kid A, WHO WANTS TO MAKE THAT THREAD?

If we made a poll for every comparison for a piece of music... WAIT I HAVE AN IDEA.

Btw, you look like a character from an anime i used to watch, though I could never tell if the character was a boy or a girl.

The way you presented the thread made it seem like it was to be made serious. While Sarah, and other people who have posted in this thread, could have, and certainly should have, reacted differently to the thread than the way they did, calling her a bitch is not accepted here, and if this behavior continues on it will result in an infraction.

You see, I said: Bitch please and not: Bitch, (comma) please. Since , over the years, bitch please has become an expression to portray disagreement, I didn't call her a Bitch. So, regardless of how much the word: Bitch might apply to the said person (Sarah), I did not intend to call her a bitch.

Here are a few example of the uses of bitch please, collected from various sources:

A Tool: "Yo, Samuel L. Jackson, will you sign my "Snakes on a Plane" merch? You're totally sick, homedog. You wanna come chill at my crib?"
    Samuel L. Jackson: "Bitch please."

He says: "I'll bust yo monkey ass"
    You say: "Huh?! Bitch please"

    Person 1:"Give me $25"
    Person 2:Bitch please

As you can clearly see, the words "bitch please" where not use to call the fellow lpassociationer a bitch. I would call her such a thing anyway, unless I knew that she was one.

Even though that wasn't your intention, the way your post can be perceived can come off as calling said member a "bitch", due some members declining use of any punctuation at all, hence why I mentioned something.

Although my previous post was written in a semi sarcastic tone, I really did not mean to called her that word. However, "retarded" is the word I would use for memBers who declIne The use of any punCtuation, thougHt I will not use such a word as I know it is prohibited

Hey look, this guy thinks he's smart because he says he'll call people a word if they don't do something, then says that he won't. Which basically means that he's trying to be clever about calling people a certain word.

Oh look, he's also trying to be clever by capitalizing random letters to create a hidden message, in essence calling a mod a bitch.

Oh look again, he's looking down on people who don't properly use punctuation. NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT HIS POST IS MISSING A DASH FOR 'semi-sarcastic' AND A PERIOD AT THE END OF HIS POST.

Pink Floyd, no comparison. Linkin Park are a good band, with impressive songwriting abilities, but they are still a long way from having the same cultural impact and influence on the music industry as PF had. PF changed music. It can be argued that Linkin Park did that too, but they're still too young in their careers for anybody to reasonably predict the influence they'll have in the long run. Twenty-five years from now, when I'm 50, if my kids are dusting off an old Hybrid Theory vinyl and it's being remarked how "ahead of their time" they were (like people now say about Pink Floyd) then I'll revisit this question. Till then, Pink Floyd win hands down, and this is coming from a hardcore LP fan.

And roflwaffles at me giving my opinion, not realizing the thread has already been closed. Le' Fail!
