For those of you not familiar with At the Drive-In, here is a full show from December 2000, 3 months before they broke up.
I'm totally coming over for coachella. C U GUYS IN DA PIT. Oh, and stick refused in the thread title, need appreessh for both bands itt. The weirdest part about this is that I was listening to Acrobat Tenement last night and reading lyric meanings and shit and woke up to a reunion. DEFINITELY as superstitious as Bedlam In Goliath's backstory.
I'm pretty upset at that Coachella line-up. No way in hell Bonnaroo even comes close to touching that line-up. Radiohead, Refused, ATD-I, EMA, WU LYF, M83, Frank Ocean, the Weeknd... AND MOTHERFUCKING GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR. UGH FUCK. FUCK YOU, COACHELLA. UGHHH. /rant
Seeing Godspeed You! Black Emperor is on my very short bucketlist (the other item being seeing My Bloody Valentine) so it's fairly essential that I go to this. Seeing ATDI, Refused, Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Asap Rocky, Explosions In The Sky, Amon Tobin, Company Flow (El-P!) and Cat Power is going to rule so hard as well though.
So you're actually going? Damn. I could, but I'd have to miss out on Bonnaroo which just isn't possible for me. Going to Coachella would cost twice as much, too.
Hopefully. At the moment planning to go over there with ~10 friends. It's gonna cost a bit less than $2000 ahah.
Coachella is usually a good indicator as to what bands will be at other festivals in the US. Maybe not the headliners, but most of the undercard anyway. Coachella and Bonnaroo usually share a headliner every year, I expect it to be Snoop & Dre. I doubt we'll get At the Drive-In or Refused I'm gonna be really sad. I know we won't get Godspeed, not a chance in hell.
