but please i do have to say, regarding trav21, im not gonna defend him, but he only made a comment, which if i have to be honest
listening to the 35 plus mashups, that some were not as good as others, in fact 1 or 2 were really quite poor, but people should be able
to take critisism, as well as praise, it's what makes people strive to do better, you need a balance of both in this world.
i have always asked people around me for honest opinions, there is no point in telling me 'yeah man, like your track is the must awesome track ive ever heard'
if it was really rubbish, because im gonna think that im some sorta rock god.... ( he says with the name ORPHEUS )

also you guys went in for the kill straight away, it didn't need 5 admins to publicly warn him......or did it.....?
in fact peeps, your slightly in the wrong too, for threatening him publicly, were as you could of sent him a private message.
thus saving any embarrassment, which probably lead to his second comment

i havant got the time to read his posts, and join in the public hate campaign, so come on everybody CHILL OUT a little, its the time of good will to all men, is it not ?

lol wtf is going on here? When have I been rude or negative? I've praised other months and praise a lot of stuff in the recording studio. My comment here earlier wasn't necessary but I was kinda just bummed how it turned out because I loved the other months so much and I impulse posted.

I'm sorry you disagree with my political views, but are you discouraging members from discussing topics that interest them? If you simply don't want me pointing out negative aspects of our government because you think it negatively affects how people view your site, then ok, I can see where you're coming from. There's a lot of gloom and doom involved in it, but it is in the serious chat thread so I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

And this might be a low blow, but if we want to see examples of you and other members actually being rude and bashing other members (e.g. handyman) or any religious people in general, we can head over to the religious threads. I think a lot of people could clean up their acts, me included.


Edit: And I would have loved to PM this, but since you were publicly calling me out I feel like I need to publicly defend myself.

 

I had gotten an idea for a mash up on the day this ended so I couldn't compete lol. Now listening to the winners and I'm kinda glad I didn't, I wouldn't have stood a chance if I did. Congrats to all the winners!

 

Don't doubt yourself my friend, you just may of had the best idea of the bunch, you never know until you give it a try

 

I agree with Glen, just go for it man. You'll never know until you enter!

By the way, listening to your EP on BandCamp as we speak. There's some cool stuff on here man, good job.

I see what you're saying. No offence to the everyone who entered, but mashing up songs is considerably easier than lets say, an electronic remix made with your own instrumentals. It's easier to make mashups sound "good".

However, in my opinion this year was the strongest hands down. Most of the entries were amazing this year. The other people featured on the november winner page had fantastic masups, and the winner's mashup was phenominal. There were so many entries this year, and that's what's important.

Great job to all of you who entered. It's too bad I couldn't listen to all of the entries cause there were so many of them this time.

m_macdonald keeps killing it every month! Loved his mashup.

Glen did a great job with the instrumentation, but it felt dragged out in the first half... the vocals could've been chopped up better imo.

 

It will be available for download in early 2012. I release my mashups in sets all at once and this one was the first I released early. When I finish a set I post track by track each week on my YouTube channel and then make them available as a RAR file on MediaFire. I also have many on my SoundCloud. sorry I havent been around the forums much lately. Just stopped by to see how the November mash-ups turned out. Great job to all of the entries, I have downloaded all of them and added them to the library.

You downloaded mine? There's no download link. Did you use DownloadHelper? I'd recommend deleting it because I'll be re-uploading it soon in a higher quality audio format and have that available for download instead
