with part of me i was thinking that be used in in the bleed it out bridge hit the floor and easier to run should really be brought back
I think the set list should be expanded a tad cause there are some amazing songs that don't get played live. I mean foo fighters are known for long ass concerts aren't they. Lp could expand a little right?
This!! I don't know if they can hold out for a 30 regular song (no interludes and intros) setlist but if so, this would be epic.
30 songs would be awesome. if they did 35 though, that would be a wet dream. especially since their releasing their fifth album (hopefully by summer next year but you know how they are) and theres going to be some cuts that really hurt if they don't expand the setlist
For me it's the fact that some songs should be removed from the setlist completely....yeah I know, I know....it's their singles for the mainstream fans and I'm being selfish. But come on, some songs just shouldn't be played anymore because of how overplayed they've become. Ex: Numb, What I've Done, (soon New Divide as well I feel), Faint (overplayed but enjoyable), Breaking the Habit (I'm on the edge for this one...once again...overplayed but enjoyable), Given Up can be removed and so can No More Sorrow to be honest (NMS is great live), In The End (definitely needs to be removed), One Step Closer (should be gone), Crawling can be taken out too, and I'd be okay with From the Inside and Lying From You being removed as well. Now this list isn't a list of songs I hate but songs I'd be okay with removing. Remember....removing these songs means space for other, less played songs to be played instead and that's all that I'm saying. With all these removed from a set, we'd get a whole lot more A Thousand Suns in one concert, get some good old and missed HT songs, songs that never get played like In Pieces and TLTGYA, and who knows what. I'd rather have MTM, ATS, and LP5 stuff than anything that's been overplayed
No offense but I hate your list you just cut the set list in half and took some of the best songs out. well here let me ask you. Whats your ideal setlist (Oh I smell a whole new thread comin on)
lol the subject of this thread just changed........... i think when they make their next album the set list would be 30-40 approx (including tracks like wake)
I'd like to hear Wake segue into Session, and have Session lead into Cure for the Itch, and then CFTI lead into Lockjaw. That would be an amazing intro
then forward should segue into empty spaces and that should segue into the requiem and that should segue into opening and that should segue into steph. totally epic
psh! nobody wants full tracks. All they want is a compilation of the bands segue-ways, openings, and fake phone calls.
Hahaha, well I have no ideal setlist in mind. And that list doesn't necessarily mean that I want every song all at once to be removed. They're just choices. I'd definitely like just about every song from ATS in one setlist along with rare tracks like In Pieces, TLTGYA, and then some old HT like With You and lastly something crazy like Reanimation versions of Papercut, With You, Points of Authority, or Runaway. I just want some change that's all. And on top of that a whole bunch of LP5 songs would be nice
lol they play little things all the time *edit* after much research it has come to my attention that little things got played once at a summit this past tour. I retract my previous statement.
I know I said this before ATS came out, but even more so now - One of the best things about the next album is the fact that they'll have to cut more older songs to make room for new ones. It's should be considered a sin that they didn't play their best song at all on the last tour.
I think it would not be possible by removing their old songs to the setlist...Its better if the band would expand the setlist a little bit... like Green Day they can play 40-45 songs in a show... I know LP can do that but it depends in every situation... And in terms of something different in a show, LP is better in doing like that, it would be crazy if they cut all of their hits songs.... Maybe, they could play their hits with a twist that is something unique and different, like acoustic guitar oriented Version of Given Up with mellow vocals or any songs that they like give for a twist.. that would be different in terms of styles and it is something unique and unexpected..
