    Linkin Park continues to amaze me with their humanitarian efforts. Hopefully this initiative will actually accomplish something. It will also be interesting to see how events like this affect their music. Perhaps their next album will be even more political than A Thousand Suns.

    Speaking from experience from an environmental advocacy group, it only works when everyone jumps on board. When you petition or lobby a senator for example, it's not about getting enough votes or signatures to signify to the politician in question that this is the will of the people, it has to be enough people that it's obvious he/she will be held accountable (i.e. in the next election) for not complying (in other words, enough people that if he/she doesn't comply, it could prevent him/her getting majority vote).
