Linkin Park Meet with the U.N. to Support the "Sustainable Energy for All Initiative"

Today Linkin Park began another humanitarian effort when they met with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at the for a news conference about the recently created "Sustainable Energy for All Initiative." The main goal of this initiative is to provide power to the estimated 1.4 billion people who currently lack access to sustainable power. To go along with today's events, Linkin Park has uploaded a video on their youtube channel that asks fans to get involved:

Also, Mike Shinoda said the following at the press conference:

i remember mike saying in an interview ages ago that when they performed at live earth all the lighting their was all to do with combating global warming there were so much people there and everyone their had to take public transport

 

Good to see they believe in protecting the environment.

Speaking of which, I've heard Pearl Jam tries to conduct totally carbon neutral tours. Anyone know other bands doing cool things like that?

 

I must be a terrible human being if all i could think about during that video was how hot Brad's doppelgänger looks.

We agree this video is helping the world, LP love the world and they are setting a good example for their fans and the world of music.

And now....Come on!!, Brad did shave! He looks so much younger, plus the fact that Joe is not wearing shorts...he does have long pants in that room he called his closet, lol. Ok, back to being a grownup.

In all seriousness though, it's always wonderful to see LP continue their charitable efforts, and I'm glad they are working with the UN.

 

We've learned that there is more to them then just the music.

....now you noticed. Brad, Rob, and Joe likes to be nice too sometimes, lol.

 

For some reason I couldn't help but feel like Mike was going to burst out laughing during that speech.
