The most amusing part is that we keep editing in and editing out the "read more after the jump" tag .

Pros: Makes post very short and compact on the front page, meaning no potential eyerape from a tl:dr post.
Cons: The current code does NOT insert a "Continue Reading" link, making it look like an unfinished post was submitted as news. There's no way to 'read more' without clicking on comments and it just creates a problem.

So eventually, once we fix the code we'll have a much more presentable post on the front page . Till then? WORD EXPLOSION!

ATS is not my favorite LP album, but I still love it, and I loved this touring cycle as well, just not as much as past cycles. I don't mean to be negative, but I feel that LP is getting worn out from doing long touring cycles, which is understandable because they have been touring the world pretty much non-stop since 2000 (minus a year or two for MTM, DBS and FM). I attended 3 shows on this tour but I was going to have attended 5 if Uncasville and Pensacola didn't get canceled. I think the best show I attended out of all of the 3 I went to, was the 2010 NYC show at the Blender Theater. The band had a lot of energy and that was the first 'true' ATS show, I don't really count Kevin and Bean or the Griffith Observatory show as full shows. I also went to Boston, which was a nightmare because there was a HUGE blizzard all around Massachusetts and the east coast that day with frigid temperatures during the night, but the show was awesome. I then went to the MSG show and that was incredible, it's a legendary venue and the band rocked it. I enjoyed a lot of things about this tour, I loved when the band played Blackout live, it was awesome when the band played APFMH in full last year, and NRL over BIO was really awesome, I never thought the band would do it. It was awesome they played in the Middle East this cycle, and their cover of Rolling In The Deep was pretty sweet, not my favorite though. Overall, I wish they did maybe ONE more US tour for this album, but I'm not upset over it. The band made a great album and did a great tour in support of it. Now it's time for the next album, the next cycle. I can't wait, I can say I am more excited for this album then I was for ATS. I've been a LP fan since Hybrid Theory was released and I first joined the LPU in 2004 and have been a member ever since. I can officially say I think this next album has the potential to be their greatest and I can't wait. Good job, LP. R.I.P. ATS.

I'm personally really excited for what comes after ATS. ATS showed me the band can make another Hybrid Theory quality masterpiece, now I can't wait to see what they follow up with.

I'm really glad that the band chose to keep this world tour to a year and not 2-3 years like they've done in the past. As Derek said, I can't wait to see what they'll make next.

An amazing tour by LP, although by the end their performances definitely seems to grow a bit stale. Imagine if the tour was to last another 1-2 years... I'm still absolutely disappointed that I couldn't go see them perform when they came to Canada earlier this year. Stupid busy schedule.

My favourite thing by far that happened this tour however, was the introduction of APFMH over the Bleed It Out bridge. A genius idea to take the best parts of a crowd classic and merge it with a modern crowd rocker. I hope they keep that as a setlist staple for years to come.

I don't think Linkin Park will continue to play that on future tours. They may play the bridge every once in awhile but certainly not the same as what they have done during this tour. I feel very privileged to say that I have been able to experience possibly some of LPs most legendary live mixes. It always excited me to think about how in 10 years maybe WTCFM or the BIO APFMH bridge or BITS will be the talked about/wished about setlist songs that are no longer played...and how I was lucky enough to be able to see it.

I think next cycle WTCFM will be the next "No More Sorrow." The band, at least in my eyes, really enjoys playing that song. And the APFMH bridge in BIO is too perfect to ever remove. Though BITS is definitely a song that may not get played much in the future.

As far as ATS songs in future sets, I think some songs that may never make a return are: Wretches And Kings, Burning In The Skies, The Messenger, and sadly, Blackout. I think they'll just play the singles from ATS with the addition of When They Come For Me. I also don't think interludes like The Requiem, The Radiance, Jornada Del Muerto, Fallout, Wisdom, Justice and Love will be played as well. But it's ok. I bet the new songs written for the new album will be very good, and the set will be a mix of all 5 albums.

Excellent write-up, made me all reminiscent. Seeing the band play at the Staples Center was fucking amazing, pretty surreal, definitely the highlight of my year so far.

I don't think "Burning In The Skies" will get dropped for the next tour, I mean shit it is an international single. "From the Inside" got played occasionally this tour which was also an international single.

Then again they dropped "Somewhere I Belong" completely, which made me sad. I wish they would drop "What I've Done" instead.

I agree with this. Except I could still see some of the interludes making an appearance.

Amazing album cycle. I hope they play TLTGYA in the next one though.
