So I came across this funny / pathetic article on how Linkin Park should play less MFR benefit shows that benefit Japan, and instead focus on issues in the US (Despite MFR covering all natural disasters happening in the world). This article comes courtesy of Jesse at REV96.7 Radio, check it out below. Not a big deal but I did think it was pretty funny how angry this guy is and thought I'd share.
Wow, thats messed up how pissed off he is. God forbid LP try to help the children of Japan who for the most part are homeless or they lost their parents. Also forget about the radiation or other unsanitary conditions. Please Linkin Park give this man what he wants instead.
For the record, however "poor" our southern states may be, it isn't anything in comparison to what's going over in Japan. This ignoramus forgets the fact that Japan just suffered from one of the worst natural disasters in history, and that thousands of people died and even more were left homeless and without any possessions, food or even drinkable water. There's a lot of evidence that the nuclear emergency over there was worse than what their government let on, and considering that much of the water/crops within the radius of the plant have radiation, and many Japanese people now have radiation in their urine I'd say they need more help than we do. And honestly, a lot of times here (especially in Pennsylvania) it isn't because the families are poor but because some of the people take advantage of welfare/green stamps and don't get off their ass and actually find a job. There's many people here who drive around in Mercedes, and yet work on food stamps because they don't have to pay for groceries. They scam the state governments, and the worst part is that they usually get away with it. And even for those who are poor because of being in impoverished areas, that's not what Music For Relief was created for. Music For Relief was created to provide assistance in the event of natural disasters. My heart goes out to those who are poor and AREN'T cheating the system, but that's not what MFR is about.
I can't imagine what sort of selfish asshole would complain about "those poor Americans," who live in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, with the highest standard of living in the world (if we didn't eat so damn much, that is). This guy does indeed merit an eight-foot bitchslap.
I do hope you know that there are millions of Americans who don't get to live the way you're suggesting they get to live.
Fixed that for ya! On a more serious note though, who the hell cares what the author says at this point. Yes there are problems in the US, but what that twat doesn't seem to want to realize is that there are more serious problems happening in Japan.
Lol wtf. That is the radio station in my city. I could go lay down the law and take this guy out if you guys need me to.
Gods, Radio DJ's are the most pathetic things on the entire planet. I almost feel bad for picking on something with this much of a mental handicap.
Ignoring this guy's flagrant dipshit-ery, his argument is just bad. Charities usually have a pretty narrow focus. Criticizing a disaster-relief charity for not helping "poor, malnourished" children stateside completely misses the point. But let's forget about all of the disaster relief MFR has provided stateside (for hurricanes, wildfires, etc.) and focus on the things they're not doing for people in completely unrelated scenarios! Fucking asshole.
