I'm a big fan of these types so I just want to know your favourites.

    Mine are:

    Black Hawk Down
    Saving Private Ryan
    Behind Enemy Lines 2
    Jarhead
    Pearl Harbor

I can't say I like any standard war movies.

If you mean any movies with war, I'd say Lord Of The Rings and Braveheart.

Platoon has gotta be up there. Saving Private Ryan was also really good.

    Saving Private Ryan
Pearl Harbor (Good to a point but I feel the film makers kind of missed the point with the movie a little. That and Cuba Gooding Jr. had to small of a part.)
    Jarhead
    Platoon

    Just to name a few...

That's what happens when you watch a Michael Bay movie. It's a common feeling.

"I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark,
    when he made Pearl Harbor,
I miss you more than that movie missed the point,
and that's an awful lot, girl,
and now, now you've gone away,
and all I'm trying to say,
is Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you.

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school,
he was terrible in that film,
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part,
he's way better than Ben Affleck,
and now, all I can think about is your smile,
    and that shitty movie too,
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you.

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
    I guess Pearl Harbor sucked,
just a little bit more than I miss you."

It's a TV miniseries and not a movie, but Band of Brothers pretty much rules when it comes to war-themed movies and series.

That's because Tom Hanks can do no wrong in pretty much anything he can do. :D

as far as war movies go, I would have to say Full Metal Jacket and Saving Private Ryan.

It's a TV Show instead of a movie, but I'll add "The Unit". Epic.
