I just want them to get back to the sound they had in Meteora. Idk what it is about it, but it was basically perfect if you ask me. I can listen to the 2 newest cds and not really hate any of the songs, but I just am not into most of the songs like I was with their first cds. They just don't have the sound or feel that got me hooked on LP. I mean, the only 2 songs that I truly loved off the bat from ATS were Wretches and Kings and the Catalyst

I think it'd be cool if their next album starts with a nice techno-rock thrum, and then the tension builds as Delson leans in with a piercing F# chord, right before Mike Shinoda lays down the phattest rhyme of his life. That lyric proves so powerful that its impact can only be matched (not surpassed) by Chester's roar of fury. The two voices will magically combine into an angelic note of such transcendent power that it will provoke non-stop orgasms in the listeners, until their hips can no longer shudder for fear of wasting what little energy remains, and as the record heads into the second song, a divine light shoots out from whatever speakers provide the boundless, nameless energy that IS Linkin Park, and the listener will experience a moment of total and complete awareness, right before their corporeal form disintegrates, and they merge with the Supreme Being, who takes a cigar out of his mouth and says, "All in all, I prefer Meteora."

I have just decided on the one thing I'd like them to try, to challenge themselves a little:

They should not only have songs with odd time signatures in them, but have several different time signatures within a single song and thus change between them with the normal flow of the song.

No more cock-rock ballads. I've tried to like "The Messenger," but it reminds me of Avenged Sevenfold. :p

At least one pointless conversation between the members and class it as a track.

I'd love to hear a more stripped down sound, something like MTM but more mature and less poppy. Basically I'd love the structure of the songs on ATS but in a more stripped down sound without all the electronic sounds.

I'd really like to see the band experiment heavily with guitar sounds, kind of how they did on "Midnight", but, hopefully avoiding powerchords as much as possible or leaving those roles to other instruments. Also, abandoning conventional song structures like they did on "A Thousand Suns", but I'd also like to see them take that a bit further. :)

But what Chester's been saying sounds pretty cool too.

I'd like to hear a sound that will polarize people.

"Friday"'s lyrics are already quite political in nature. ;P

I'd like to hear a sound that pisses off all the HT fans, all the banned people, and the people here that I have no respect for. :derek:

The way I see it, I don't want to hear any certain thing on the next album. Surprise me.
