One of the best vocalists of this generation, hands down. I just recently got into her thanks to the suggestion of Andrea and a few other people on these boards. I have both her albums now...and I kinda like '21' more because it really fits what I'm going through right now, although 19 is a very decent album in itself. Everyone's thoughts on her?
She's been all the buzz in the UK for ages now. I've not really taken any notice to it to be honest. She sounds like a great singer from what I've heard but that seems to be overwhelmed by the amount of fat jokes made about her, haha.

I've never heard anything extraordinary from her compared to other female vocalists. Plus she's not that great on the eyes. Her albums get great reviews, though.
Just started listening to her stuff a few days ago, really impressed with her voice, love how it sounds. I love it when people's voices don't sound like what you would expect based on their looks.
I will never understand for as long as I live, why people give a shit about looks when it comes to music.
Because if she's just like everyone else in my mind, it'd be a plus if she looked better than the others. If somebody is outstanding I don't care.
I'm really into melodic/alternative music (especially female voices ) and she does it really good. Adele, Sara Bareilles and Amy McDonald are my faves. Her new album is amazing too.

I suppose he's talking about Amy Winehouse, Gabriela Cilmi, Duffy etc. They all have great voices but pretty much all their songs are kind meh to me. I like Rolling In The Deep and I like it, but I don't care about some other songs I've heard.
I'd put Adele in that crowd and vocals wise she's just as good, if not better than the artists you mentioned.
I don't know. Just seriously listen to any random girl vocalist in a band. Most girls are really great singers but don't have a lot of uniqueness.
