Like Dumbledore said, it's cool because it's Hybrid Theory, though I would say it is still their best album. By Myself and The Cure will probably replace the originals on my iPod, but the rest of the differences aren't that much.
Ultimately, I think this is a really cool thing to have, but nothing really earth-shattering (and certainly not worth $900 in my opinion - DAMN!). It kind of reveals the album in its "almost done" stage, and fills in the gap between the CD of demos that was done in January of 2000 and the final product in October. Now I See and Plaster are very similar (if not identical) mixes to releases that we had already (Now I See from the Warner/Ozzfest sampler and One Step Closer from the ECW Anarchy Rocks soundtrack), so if nothing else, we now have the rest of the album in a similar style to those two tracks.
Yeah. I'm grateful to whoever spent that much so people like me can download it, get halfway through and then delete it off their iTunes. I seriously am though.
I saw this on LPL. SO AWESOME. I think it is great! As far as the bass goes, I have a hard time hearing Phoenix's bass. :/
Isolated vocals/drums/bass/keys etc are making the rounds around the web as of late. Some people think they're guitar hero rips, but they're extremely clean so it's lead some to think they're the real deal.
What's all included on these rips? Guitar Hero rips would generally have a vocal track, bass track, drum tracks (kick, snare, and a track with toms and cymbals), a guitar track, and a track with everything else on it. Separate keys and harmonies from the everything else track and then you have Rock Band 3 tracks. Also, I don't think there's anyway the unmaster is fake. There's enough differences with the layering in vocals, different synth sounds, and the bass actually being more upfront in the mix that it'd be hard to fake.
