      Projekt Revolution: Dredg, Die Antwoord

So it's more like a Linkin Park show than an actual Projekt Revolution show

They are clearly doing solo shows or with small supporting acts to raise more money and with that they can make less shows and record faster (instead of doing 2 full years of shows and then getting back to studio).

Projekt Revolution is great but imagine how is for them to pay all those bands...

I'm pretty sure that, despite the stupid proportions of how much each band member receives per album sale and ticket sale, that they have more than enough money to keep recording regardless. I mean, Mike has an album in his house that is fairly respectable. They have quite a bit of leeway in terms of budget for making music.

I´m not saying they are poor or anything...I´m just stating that instead of making 20 shows in over and over in the same cities for 2 and a half year and share amounts of money with bands like My Chemichal Romance, Chris Cornell, Jay Z and etc...they can make 10 shows and take all for them. Is not a matter of being rich or no...but it is all about the money and promotion when it comes to tour. People think Linkin Park tour and making music only for pleasure...

Well I would HOPE so. Considering their charity and humanitarian efforts, I don't think they make music to make money.

I'm not disappointed. If LP really cared about money as much as you imply, they wouldn't donate a portion of their ticket proceeds to Music For Relief, nor would they send 100% of Download To Donate proceeds to Save The Children.

Linkin Park is a band that has great pleasure of playing and of course make music because they like as well as donate part of their budget to charity since they have a lot already.

What I´ve said regarding this topic is that they are shortening their tour dates in order to have more free time to write new music and as you said do some charity work...In the past they were making Projekt Revolution and touring for almost 2 years in a row and having bands to support as My Chemical Romance, Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Chris Cornell...It costs a lot and they do have other things to care about besides their budget (they need to pay a whole crue and staff people) so I THINK they reduced the tour dates and chose small supporting bands so they can complete a tour cycle and earn as much as they would in the past and cover more ground. Why repeat the same cities 4 times with old material if they can do it twice and write faster than before? That´s all. I´m not saying they´re only doing it for money...but they do need to pay other people and get paid.

Counterpoint: They never stop writing. They've mentioned in both MOATS and through videos of the mobile studio that they're never NOT recording music anymore.
