MTV says it's only about 200 vote that seperate the 2 bands. HOLY FUCK KEEP VOTING. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.

 

Everyone vote Paramore.

This whole competition is not about which band is the best. It's about who has the more rabid and obsessive fanbase.

This is how great bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, and Pearl Jam lost to MCR, Sum 41, and Blink 182.

Basically, whoever wins this is actually losing. This is a teenie competition. Who has the most? Who has fans that are most willing to sit at a computer desk and click, vote and refresh the longest? Linkin Park have been straying away from this. That's what ATS is for. All the whining fanboys and girls that wished for HT and Meteora to come back. This is their competition.

So let Paramore win. While I do in fact enjoy both bands, I think it's safe to say that Paramore's fanbase is a bit more obsessive than LP's. At least I'd like to hope.

Although a lot of the activity in this thread is proving me wrong.

it's a stupid thing we're doing for the lulz. Linkin Park did those silly interviews about how they wanted to win it all or whatever, it's in good fun. there's no need to be a killjoy and start bringing the band's growth into this. it's not that serious.

voting for Paramore and helping them win isn't going to do anything either. the fact is, there are a lot of immature Linkin Park fans, and this IS a close competition whether you like it or not. If I'm able to vote and help my favorite band win some silly MTV contest, why should I not?

And I actually agree with most of Minus's post.

 

I never said losing = being a greater band. I was using examples of great bands that lost because of their fanbases not giving a fuck on any of the subjects at hand.

I'm not trying to be a killjoy. But a lot of the randomly rude comments on this thread reminded me of how obsessive some fans seem to be and remain that listen to the band. That in itself was a killjoy. Actually, I think my first post in here was purely due to the fun being taken out of it by a post someone made about not liking Paramore even though they had never listened to the band.
