Actually I think you're right. I think my grammar was wrong there. My fault.

Man I swear some people over-analyse the shit out of the most irrelevant things. Mike has given the fans to do something fun and cool, so either do it or move on. Who cares if he did it "out of anger" or not! Sigh.

The song sounds bad, because Mike feels bad about Japan.
The song sounds good, because it's for a good cause.

The fact that people have been calling it lazy really kinda irks me (the comments on the Soundcloud page are particularly ridiculous). If Mike were being "lazy" he wouldn't have made the instrumental to begin with, and would have just released something from past recording sessions.

Personally, the remix has to be fucking phenomenal in order for me to like it (see: Reanimation and Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D) so I say, let them take on the challenge.

This is completely open to interpretation. All the post is is one of the many many things said without the context of actual oral, face-to-face communication where it can be taken as being very angry and pissed off, or the complete opposite.

No, you were right the first time. As long as it's a vowel sound, you use "an." When you say LP, it sounds like el pee, thus you use "an" before it. It's the same case with the word Hour. You don't say "a hour", you say "an hour."
    /extremely off topic

I agree that there's too much drama regarding this. Though, I also agree how dumb and ignorant the fan base can be sometimes.

BTW, Issho ni grew on me a little. Nice track.

Except Linkin Park would be plural, that's how the magazine peeps say it.

:O I AM LEARNIN COOL STUFF!

Also, I thought Derek was being hypothetical and I like being hypothetical.... sometimes.

As artists the band makes music for their fans, not for themselves. If they wanted to listen to their own music they still would be in a basement somewhere. It's for a great cause but this doesnt make the track good.Mike can be angry all he wants but the customer is always right ;) And when the negative feedback is more than the positive its time to stop and think about what you're doing, not attack your fans.

If this were true, we'd be on Hybrid Theory part 4 now.

    The. Track. Was. For. Charity.

And "the customer is always right"? With all due respect, do you realize how ludicrous and incredibly full of yourself you're sounding right now? The band is not some mindless slave that has to adjust themselves to your every word and request and they're not your bitch. Linkin Park are six normal people, making the music they want to make whilst exploring new and unexpected musical horizons.

In case their various interviews stating this didn't make it clear: They are never going to make Hybrid Theory again. They're done with that point of their lives and they're ready to try new things. This new song whilst not your favorite, is a sign of that new direction. It's just the way it is.
