Guaranteed To Be The Worst Song You've Ever Heard

She sung the national anthem on GMA. She isn't the next Whitney Houston but she's actually pretty good (i.e. she actually can hold a note). It's just Friday was written completely in a different range than what she sings. It was a bad choice to show her vocals.

 

Yeah I was kinda surprised when she did. I was like 'WTF THIS AINT FRIDAY.'

I must be the only one who hopes this girl achieves all of her dreams. If all these no talent hacks on the radio can make millions of dollars, why shouldn't a girl who admittedly can sing (when not given a shitty song like 'Friday') have a chance at fame too? She's only 13, let her have her moment to shine. Yes, I'm the creator of this thread, yes I think "Friday" sucks...but you know what? The song is stuck in my head, and as she so truthfully stated in the GMA interview...if it's stuck in your head, it doesn't matter if someone likes it or hates it, that's a successful pop song. Sure she's getting fame for all the wrong reasons, but you know damn well her EP will sell like hotcakes when it comes out, and she'll have the last laugh. I say good for her.

 

Look up the Good Morning America interview from this morning. She sung the national anthem and held the notes decently. Granted she's not going to revolutionize the music industry with her vocals (they're average at best) but she's not painful.

It looks like they specialize in turning normal 13 year old girls into autotuned interweb sensations for just a couple thousand dollars.

But you just said itself, her vocals were average at best. There are only so many hours in a day, why should her average at best singing get all the radio airplay, shutting out people with actual talent?

Then again, the Top 40 stations that would play her songs wouldn't know "actual talent" if it knocked them on their ass.

 

Yeah let's have them produce a track for Todd!
