"Burning In The Skies" Video Premiere!

I was wondering if anyone else picked up the Breaking the Habit scene. To me the entire thing seemed like a live action version of Breaking the Habit (Everyone going about their lives with different problems, etc)

 

I like how it feels connected to the other videos from the album.

Almost like an explosion in reverse;
The Catalyst = Aftermath
WFTE = During the explosion
BITS = Before

I dunno, I'm pretty out of it right now..

Oh there's certainly gonna be a hate fest for 'old LP' fans

 

So the first time I watched it I wasn't sure what to make of it, but after watching it again and understanding the concept behind the video, I kind of like it.
Also, anyone else think it's odd that nothing's been posted regarding the release of the video on their official site or their facebook yet?

 

yeah..nd dats wat makes me believe to a slight extent that this may be a lead-up to original BITS video...
i liked dis video.loved d concept...but it still has underachieved IMO...

 

Something's making me believe that when BITS is out as a US single, a new video will surface.

 

The boys know that they will win some and they will lose some.

 

This is possible.......... If BITS is a US single.

I've been thinking very hard on this video since yesterday so here goes...

A lot of people feel the video is boring up to the point of when the "bomb" goes off. At first I agreed, "What is this? What's going on here?". I watched it a few more times and I started to get what it meant to me at least. I believe that it was intented to feel dull and boring at the beginning.

The concept is every day life. People today just live it like nothing bad will ever happen. Thus it's almost "boring" cause we live our lives everyday without ever just stoping for a second to admire what's going on around us. Some viewers could care less about people having a party or the little boy playing in the yard or the couple who will be sharing their first and or last kiss with one another. It's every day boring stuff that goes on in our life that we don't ever sit back and think twice about.

All the people in the video are leading their everyday lives like they have always done. Then when the "bomb" goes off all the peoples lives change in one moment. Everyone is united for that one single moment where the life that everyone was living was taken away. They never seen it coming.

The family in the living room must have seen what was coming. For that split second they spent their final moments together. Life is a gift and it can be taken away. We as people just need to step back for a second and look around at all the every day things going on with us or around us. It might be gone tomorow and then you would have missed something beautiful that seemed dull at first.

This is all random and may not make much sense but I'm open for people to add on to this or disagree.

That's what I felt they was trying to say about the little boy. When we are young we see life as an adventure. As we get older all that sort of goes away or is almost beaten out of us to be "normal".

Also I felt that the girl in the bathroom represented someone feeling sorry for themselves instead of just being happy to be alive. Also she really does make me think of the girl from the "Breaking the Habbit" video and I almost feel like Joe put her their for a reason to represent that era where a lot of LPs music was about feeling sorry for yourself instead noticing true problems in the world.

After all this, and putting the videos together I can say I have fallen in love again with the art that is "A Thousand Suns".
