2.19.2011 - Las Vegas, NV

After having to cancel the last five shows due to Chester's unforeseeable illness, Linkin Park are now back on the road to continue their A Thousand Suns World Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV with The Prodigy now supporting.

When Linkin Park last played in Montreal and Toronto in Canada, they had two very different setlists. In Montreal they opened the set with Faint which had the Mario Savio intro , and with Bleed It Out being performed just before the encore set, with A Place For My Head in the bridge, while in Toronto they had a different setlist, with them opening the set with Papercut, with the Mario Savio intro, and Bleed It Out closing the show.

Also, Linkin Park will be having a free meet and greet at the Las Vegas location of Club Tattoo earlier that day from 6pm to 8pm just before their show, with wristbands for the meet and greet being handed out at 10am the same day. More info on that here

Furthermore, after the show, there will be an after-party at the Haze Nightclub at the Aria Hotel being hosted by Chester Bennington, with Mr. Hahn DJing the event. Click here for more info.

Breaking news: Chester broke his leg which led him to lose his balance which led to him falling on his head which led to a concussion which led to him to go to the hospital except he tried driving himself witch led him to a car crash which led to breaking both his legs and a first degree burn on his back.

I guess they'll have to cancel again .

 

funny how the day he comes back into commission hes a busy mf.

 

I wanna hear that DJ set!

VIP thanks to my dad being really close friends with Chester's best friend and tattoo artist Chris! Chester high-fived me, Mike, Rob, Joe, Brad, and Phi shook my hand, and me and my dad got my custom LP shirt and ATS CD (the actual disc too!) signed! It's now the best moment of my life.

And the concert was ...WOW. Blew my mind out of the water! Both excited and anxious thinking kinda stuck with me at first, but for the first time in a while, straight from "Papercut" all the way to the encore closer "Bleed It Out"...I had the time of my LIFE from the lower level seats! THANK YOU LINKIN PARK, THANK YOU FOR INFECTING MY RIGHT HAND WITH YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND THANK YOU FOR THE BEST. CONCERT. EVER.

 

It's always happy to see such feedback from shows, makes me wish I was there too.
How was the crowd at the concert?

 

Switching up the set again. Awesome. Good to see Wretches back.

W&K sounds even better live...(especially when drums kick in before the chorus)

 

Crowd was electrifying! I heard all of them sing-along to EVERY song.

 

Anyone who was at this show know what songs Prodigy played?? I'll be at the San Diego show tonight and I'm dying to know what they're playing.

 

OH SHIT!!!! No Serial Thrilla, but that setlist is EPIC!!!! Wow... ok I'm really excited.

Oh, and I just remembered this, but right after the show, when the lights popped back on, we heard an acoustic guitar playing over the PA. Oddly enough, it was a cover duet of One Step Closer.

Country style. I laughed my butt off and went "Linkin Park, you bastards." xD
