So the Casio keyboard I have now just isn't cutting it. The tones are a faint cry compared to the original. I'm looking for something that shadows the actual instrument. I'm trying to keep my budget at tops of $400. I'm comparing brands but, of course, they all say they are the best. Now I know there's some experienced players on here so I thought I would get your perspective on this topic. I also want to manipulate sounds being able to use reverb, pitch, etc... :derek: :derek: :derek: :derek: :derek: :derek: :derek: :derek:
Hmm, not really sure where this one fits. I'll move it to recording studio, maybe some of our resident musicians will come across it there.
Just get a cheap MIDI keyboard and get awesome keyboard plugins for some kind of music production software.
This And there are many programs (Reason) that are great with a midi imput, which you could buy or easily get with special ways. However fruity loops is free, amazing, and allow midi input, but as for a physical keyboard, I cannot help you.
hey i play the Casio 495 even tho its a beginner keyboard, i have it for 10 yrs counting and it still plays excellente*. and i would recommend the yammaha 495. i think i spelled yammaha wrong. :/ i really really wanted that keyboard and will absolutely one day own it.
It really depends on what kind of stuff you play. There are different kinds of keyboards. You could get a workstation, a synthesizer, an arranger, or even just a MIDI keyboard and a program.
I'm not a fan of running MIDI keyboarded stuff live. Just doesnt do me any justice. Im about to buy a Roland G6/7 from work to replace this Yamaha I had giving to me by family. Its done me good but I just need better sounds and a better setup.
