Maybe it's just for this shot though. I'm really excited nonetheless. Btw, here are some more pics of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone.
Can Andrew revive the badassness that Spiderman is and that Tobey lost with his pitiful crying in Spiderman 3? It's possible. Even more so with the super cute Emma Stone in the movie
Yeah, he def has what it takes to pull off that edgy Peter Parker/Spider-Man. And from the looks of it that's what they are going for.
The costume one is cool. This film could look downright horrible though, and I'd still probably give it the benefit of the doubt now that there's finally one with the Lizard.
That's exactly how I envisioned the changes initially. I can't believe they actually went this route though. I like Garfield, but I'm still having trouble adjusting to a new live action Spider-Man. In all honesty, I'm just hoping for this trilogy to be a fantastic run, in anticipation for a badass Venom revamp in the series.
He pretty much looks like Ultimate Spider-Man come to life. I wouldn't be surprised if they did end up taking cues from it plot-wise, considering which characters are being introduced.
To be honest, he reminds me of the new Dante from Devil May Cry, and that isn't necessarily a compliment. Perhaps it's the way the costume is but the new Superman looks way too grungy/angsty for my taste. I'm praying the movie itself will prove me wrong.
I will not deny that Tobey in the third movie was a whiny bitch and that was a bad move. However this guy does not look like nerdy Peter Parker, just anorexic.
I think that's my biggest problem. Peter Parker is supposed to be very muscular and athletic. While this guy seems to be in decent shape, he's a noticeable bit thinner than Toby Macguire's version which is why it's hard to wrap my head around this new actor.
I dont like him as spiderman. That dude is like 29 and is a tooth pick. Honestly when i saw the list of names they were choosing to cast i would rather have zac efron or chace crawford play spidey
Well, a superhero movie cant be good without great acting, a great script and incredible action...so we'll have to wait and see. Everyone wrote off Daniel Craig when he was announced as Bond because he wasn't the "stereotypical looking bond", and he ended up being one of the best to do the role since Sean Connery. The same could happen with Andrew Garfield. He may surprise everyone.
Garfield is one of the most talked about up-and-coming actors in Hollywood, and he definitely has the acting chops to carry the role. So I'm not worried about him not delivering there. As for him being too lanky, I'm cool with it. It's a good change from Tobey's roundish/buff SM. And lastly, from whatever we've learned so far it seems like this film will be a little more serious/edgy than Raimi's SM, which was inclined towards being more campy and fun. I'm totally on board with that. Afterall, it is a fresh take on the character. Wrong super-hero?
I like how the webs "cut into" the suit this time around. However, that's the only thing I like about it. The mask will be the decider for me.
This Spider-Man is completely how I imagined it really. Being as this movie is going in the direction of Ultimate Spider-Man, the skinny look doesn't come as a shock. The battle ravaged suit is obviously only for this scene. There's going to be more emphasis on Peter as a student this time around and these first images don't surprise me.
