I'd probably be excited if this was like three years ago.

Nah, if they come down here I'll probably go if it's not too expensive.

I would have loved to see them at Bonnaroo next year, but it looks like they only have a day or two free during that weekend in June, but they'll be likely traveling to their next gig which makes it nigh impossible. But, Jay-Z did it this year, but I'm sure that guy has his own private jet.

Anyways. I was really into SOAD when "Toxicity" came out, and I actually really loved the Mesmerize/Hypnotize albums. Hell, I actually really like all of their albums. It's fun, quirky, doesn't take itself too seriously (when they aren't releasing stupid political singles like "Boom!").. but it still has a nice bite to it. I think I might listen to some songs now, I haven't heard them in years.

Aren't about 85% of their songs political?

Yeah, but they're written and sang in a way where I can easily ignore that aspect of a particular song.

Hopefully they can come up with something better than Mezmerize/Hypnotize.

Self-titled and Toxicity were far superior...

Amazing news! They're my favorite band after LP. I hope they come to South America this time.

I don't think there are plans for new material just yet, I think they're just gonna be touring. Much like the RATM and Faith No More Reunions.

Personally I thought Mezmerize was their best album. BYOB and Violent Pornography are classics.

BYOB has one of the sexiest breakdowns into a chorus ever (I'm including the chorus as well).
