There seems to still be some confusion as to what is going on with LPUX, so I figured I would make a thread posting what is known. 1. Monthly pass is 10 dollars, Annual pass is 60 dollars. 2. There is no physical package when you purchase the 60 dollar package. You have to pay for it separately in the LPU online store, once it is made available. 3. The CD is only available by purchasing a monthly/annual plan. With the monthly plan, you pay 10 dollars extra, while with the annual plan, you only pay 5 dollars extra. 4. No other events have been announced other than the Summit, at the moment. 5. The full site hasn't been released yet, just registration codes for it. The full site probably won't be made available til the end of the month, once they shut down the old LPU9 site. If you haven't received a code yet, and you ordered any of the membership packages, or are part of LPU9, then you need to contact Topspin, so they can send you one. I figured that should help some of you that are still having trouble understanding what is going on with LPUX.
6. It's LPU 10. The "X" is just a roman numeral for "10" . A lot of people get confused by that haha.
It was a couple months ago when all the n00bs were like: WHAT THE FUCK IS LPUX? IT'S 7, 8, 9, 10! That's such a good deal about saving $5 off the CD when you pay $50 more for a year long membership.
Id like to know if they're doing regular M&G or like the one at the summit, I figured it was 60 bucks because thats what they are doing. Im in LPU 9, I redeemed my code, got my tickets, and my renewal is coming up Dec 3rd so im getting X when I get back from Jamaica. Also, my buddy is a big LP fan like me and has never been a LPUER because he's always been without a computer. I bought 2 tix and hes joining the LPU before the concert. He still gets the M&G right? Ohh also, what would Conan do?
Ok, so now the CD is available for purchase separate from the annual/monthly pass. The M&G system sounds the same as when it was back in LPU9 and prior, where its just a mere chance that you get one.
Awesome stuff! But what about LPU9 members? when the LPUX merch is availible online, do LPU9 members still have access to the merch store? If so, do we pay $5 or will we have to pay $10 for the CD?
I'm in LPU9 myself, and I just tried, but it says I don't have access, so the 5 dollar option is only for people who just purchased the annual LPUX membership.
