Got the deluxe edition of 'A 1000 suns' loved the documentary...i've praised the album enough.. ohk..first.. whos d guy(with all due respect) with a long beard and keeps appearing once in a while in d documentary....? second. sakura (8.14)...??why wasn't this on the album..thats a freakin high rating.. third... LP fans of Ganpati..??/..saw an amazin picture in d studio der..
The one who's discussing the album out? The "outside voice"? Rick Rubin. The co-producer. Were you listening to what the docu said? It was clear enough. I saw it today. Second, Sakura. Well, I TOTALLY wanted that song. The name makes it sound so epic! Third, yeah. I gues they are. Mike was even playing a harmonium!
That would be Rick Rubin, who co-produced the album (as well as Minutes To Midnight) with Mike. He's worked with a number of artists, which you can view a comprehensive list of here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Rubin_production_discography We can only speculate, but it would seem that "Sakura" was left off the album as the band felt the fifteen songs that made the final tracklisting were either better, or perhaps simply the "right songs" for the album. It's also quite possible "Sakura" was never fully completed, who knows. I can't remember exactly what image you mean, but it's possible the image was there to inspire the band during recording or help create a vibe while working on tracks.
If you think an 8.14 is a high rating, you must not realize how perfectionist each member of the band is when recording.
well..if you dont know wat Ganapati is..well..i'll put up the pic shortly.. @rest... he is Rick...??..!!..seriously..?? @smartfight..no didn't really listen carefully..just saw it once..wid friends.... will check it tonite...
You could use multi-quote, you know. Have fun anyway. And remember, it's "meeting", not "making", so don't say it wasn't what you thought it'd be..you've seen it once anyway now! And yes, he seriously is Rick Rubin. I was surprised at first too, but he is.
How do you know Sakura isn't on the album? Those were just demo names, and those normally don't stick.
Exactly Xero21, I don't see a Dingleberry or Meadowlands on A Thousand Suns but we know what they are. Also, Minus, I agree with you. There are many songs that probably had a 7.65 or something but were worked on and became what they were looking for.
its 'meeting'..i checkd on the Cd...and rick looks wierd..! the mutli quote somehow i cant exactly get it to work.. @Xero21...sakura being a demo name...is a highly probable...i thot against it..coz some songs that made it to the album..had actual names on d list..
Dingleberry - When They Come For Me Meadowlands - Waiting For The End PAC Money - Blackout Sakura - possible demo name that was changed.
I'm pretty sure Sakura is just Jornada del Muerto. It's listed right after Robot Boy, and a Japanese name for a song with lyrics in Japanese makes sense.
