I love Reading My Eyes, probably one of my favorite early old songs. Alot of reasons why this song rocks. Mike raps like it's nobody's business. He raps so fast that I can't even understand what he's even saying. This song is amazing! Who agrees?
The best song on the Xero tape. I don't know why Rhinestone made it to Hybrid Theory since this is a far better song.
Strangely enough, I've only listened to this song in whole 5 or so times. The Mixtape version is really bad quality (and I don't like Wakefield's voice) and the live version...is ok I guess.
Listening to orginal Xero tape version on its own, the song is good. Very trippy verses by mike, short but catchy chorus. The best bit comes in with the bridge in "why not, what i came..." part. Really dark stuff, but the recording/quality of it really kills the song. But when LP perfomed it live back in '06, the song transformed into a complety different monster. Chester owns Mark's vocals, and puts his unquie stamp on it, giving the "WHY NOT GIVE ME WHAT I CAME TO DESERVE" Part so much more power than the orignal. And this time, you can actually here the nuances of Brad's guitar work - quite alot of tricky, and unsual stuff that doesn't sound like 'white noise' this time around. For one guitar it sounds heavy as hell. Oh rob's tight performance also has alot to be noted over the original. Why use electro drums when you have such a talented drummer in the band?
haha yep. No offense to Mark, but his vocals are pretty weak next to chesters. He came across sounding like Daron Malakin at times not that i dont like him as a singer, but his voice can be a little to much to bare
Oh, come now, you've gotta give Rhinestone some credit - Forgotten is badass! As for Reading My Eyes not being on Hybrid Theory...well...yeah...that sucks. And apparently the only thing good enough from Stick N Move was the guitar riff, haha. Poor Fuse.
