After working on a remix of Blackout, I discovered that there are a few additions to the lyrics. Here is the full lyrics: Your time is set in reverse / Your time is set in reverse (repeated in backwards vocals) I'm stuck in this bed you made Alone with a sinking feeling I saw through the words you said To the secrets you've been keeping It's written upon your face All the lies how they cut so deeply You can't get enough you take And take and take and never say No / you've gotta get it inside You push it back down / You push it back down No / you'll never get it inside Push it back down Black out Blood in your eye You say that it's not your fault And swear that I am mistaken You said it's not what it seems No remorse for the trust you're breaking You run but then back you fall Suffocate in the mess you're making You can't get enough you take And take and take and take and take Fuck it Are you listening? No / you've gotta get it inside You push it back down / You push it back down No / you'll never get it inside Push it back down / You push it back down No / you've gotta get it inside You push it back down / You push it back down No / you'll never get it inside Push it back down Black out Blood in your eye Floating down / as colors fill the light We look up from the ground / in fields of paperwhite And floating up / you pass us in the night A future gazing out / a past to overwrite So come down / far below We've been waiting to collect the things you know Come down / far below We've been waiting to collect what you've let go Come down Oh
Great find! I listened to it on reverse and there really is "Your time is set on reverse" or something like that.
This made me curious, and I reversed it. http://www.mediafire.com/?laurv825u662dbu Download and find out. The intro of the song is reversed, except the drum part.
Listen closely and you will hear vocals, trust me. Turn up your speakers. But it seems it's not Your time is set to reversed.. I believe that is some of Chester's freestyle during the recording session.
I heard the vocals. You just can't make out what it is. I turned my speakers all the way up and put on headphones, and you still can't clearly hear anything. It sounds like it could be "your time is set in reverse", but I could say it sounds like some other lyrics that rhyme with that and you couldn't argue.
Yea, true. I figured that out too. It's the similar rhyme in the verse but with an unknown lyric. I believe they just pick Chester's freestyle and reverse and put in.
When I was listening to the acapella version it sounded like either it was reversed lyrics or perhaps bits and pieces of Chester saying the lyrics from Jornada del Muerto. I wasn't sure.
I don't feel this thread is totally necesary. Nor can I hear that opening lyric, I'm sure it's Chesters free-style.
That's not an acapella. And Chester isn't saying anything besides reversed lyrics from the actual song.
Closest to it. Pay attention in between he says "your time is set in reverse" next to some of the reversed scatting lyrics. It isn't that hard to find. The vocals are more focused in this than the original song. Why would I assume he saying "your time is set in reverse" randomly? Doesn't it make sense, especially when he is saying it in reverse?
