Linkin Park THE Linkin Park! http://www.linkinpark.com High school - it ain't just for ditchin' anymore. Take six-piece SoCal neo-rock indescribables Linkin Park. They formed a band! Well, part of them did. See it all goes back to... Well, high school. Aspiring MC Mike Shinoda meets amateur drummer Rob Bourdon and amateur guitarist Brad Delson and they really hit it off. So much so that they formed Xero, the rockin' precursor to Hybrid Theory (band name, not album title), the rockin' precursor to Linkin Park. Along the way they picked up turntablist Joseph Hahn, bassist Darren Farrell and then the final piece of the puzzle, the missing Linkin, vocalist Chester Bennington. Together they formed the mightiest nu-metal alternative rock/rap progressive fusion sextet to ever emerge from the Los Angeles area. Hits? Platinum records? Sold-out tours? Yes, yes and yes. It began with their mega-selling debut Hybrid Theory. Their sophomore effort was 2003's Meteora, but they are no longer sophomores. They're seniors! At the rock 'n roll high school, that is. Essentially, one of a handful of acts that can justifiably lay claim to being the biggest band in the world. But remember kids, they went to high school...so don't blow off high school. PS they're nice guys, too! --- I thought it was funny... hum... sorry if you already saw it----
