    metal eh?

    try these :
    blindside - pitiful
glass jaw - cosmopolitan blood loss
    dark tranquility - monochromatic stains
anything by "in flames" or "mdfmk"
    ummmm........iced earth, there's others but i can't remember.

and this isn't punk, i don't like that.

I've only heard Blindside-Pitiful, and that song is DEFIDENTLY not metal lol. Thats more pop-rock.
If you want hardcore metal, try Dying Fetus-Raped On The Altar, and Nile-Masturbating The War God
Those are more of death metal though. Hatebreed is also good, I'm not sure if they're considered metal though.

    thanks for correcting me

see, in canada we have a show called "loud" where they play mostly metal and punk. for some reason they played that blindside song and you can see why i was mislead.

    METALLICA! Jebus, they rock.

Other metal: Dream Theater, Opeth, In Flames, Megadeath, Sepultura, Pantera, Hammergod, Down, Children of Bodom, Green Carnation, At the Gates, Ulver, Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Lost Horizon, Meshuggah, Nailbomb, Lamb of God, Strapping Young Lad, Nasum, Tool, and Entwine.

If I can think of more, I'll be sure to tell you.

There is no such genre as hardcore metal (unless you didn't mean it as a genre).

Hardcore is so much different from anything you guys listen to... so much different... it cannot even be compared to metal or anything else.
